Hi all!
My son's bedtime is usually 9:00 and I start putting him to bed at around 8:00. That means once he's in bed, I really don't want to leave the room.
That means my poor husband is on his own at night. Any suggestions for a single nightowl?
Thanks!
Diana

At home my 3 and 6 y/o's go to bed at 8pm. At WDW we are on "Disney time" which means everyone goes to bed around 10 or 11pm. We accomplish this by returning to our room sometime in the afternoon to let the kids relax and/or nap.

Other options:

- hire a babysitter for an evening

- bring a bottle of wine or a few good books and sit outside your room and have a relaxing evening together - you will be well rested to hit the parks early the next morning

- take turns going out alone in the evening

i echo the previous poster... sit outside your room (bring a baby monitor if you are super-concerned you won't hear him thru a closed door) w/drinks or snacks... dh and i had pizza delivered one night when the kids crashed early...

and if you do want to send dh out alone (LOL)... espn sports bar is good if he's a sports fan... even each going for a swim is nice... i did laundry at night after the kids were in bed and found some other nice moms to chat with in the laundryroom... perhaps maybe dh can go and photograph/video the parade or fireworks one night?

i don't know your son's age, but we also did the afternoon nap so the kids could be up a bit later at night... it was well worth it!

I also agree with everyone. We too are on "Disney Time" . We were there in June and my 2yr old would just nap were ever he was. We were shopping in DTD one afternoon and he said mama up two seconds later he was passed out. My older two DSs are 8 and 6 they can go all day and night down in WDW. they get so excited.

Joy:)
