Trying to figure out a plan for the nighttime entertainment on my trip in late August. I am there for one day only and will be spending the whole day on the DL side of the park.

Ideally, I want to see all of the nighttime shows, although if I have such horrible viewing that it's not worth it, I obviously don't want to do that. I'm trying to figure out a realistic plan for me to see as much entertainment as possible.

On my date:

DL Forever -9:30pm
Fantasmic- 9:00 pm and 10:30pm
Electrical Parade: 8:30 pm and 10:30pm

I'm trying to strategize but am not exactly sure what to do. My plan as of now is to catch the Electrical Parade at 8:30, and then the 9:30 DL Forever show. I haven't decided where I want to see these (Main Street vs small world). I've never seen either. Last time I went to DL, fireworks were canceled due to wind and there was no electrical parade.I worry that coming from a packed hub, it'll take a while to get over to Fantasmic and the viewing will be really bad. I understand that I probably won't get prime seating for everything I want, but I'm trying to optimize.

I guess my question is: Does this plan seem smart to everyone? I really have no experience and would love to hear alternate plans or any tips/experience on attempting to catch all the shows in one night!

Thanks!
As my trip gets closer I'm trying to plan more and more through the nervous excitement!

I think your plan sounds good. I'd watch them from over by Small World. Main Street will be packed. We've done both a number of times and I like the Small World viewing area better. Except one time we watched the 10:30 Electrical Parade on Main St and there was hardly anyone else there so we got curbside seats. That probably depends on the day you're there, though.

If you watch from Small World you'll also get to see the Encanto/Bruno projections before the parade starts. After the fireworks you could cut through Fantasyland over to Rivers Of America for Fantasmic. If you get to Small World early enough you could get a bench, but even if you arrive close to the start there will be places to stand and watch. We arrived about 20 minutes before the parade started and sat on the stairs. Fantasmic will be harder just because there are less walk-up viewing areas. Maybe someone who has watched Fantasmic without a dining package will chime in.

They do show the fireworks projections at ROA after Fantasmic, so another thing you could do is 9:00 Fantasmic, stay in place for the fireworks and then go to Main street for the 10:30 parade. Your view of Fantasmic and Fireworks would depend on where you're sitting, though.
