what rides at WDW are good to ride at night?

Splash Mountain and Thunder mountain are musts at night - completely different

AND - the view of the castle from way up high is BEAUTIFUL.

I think it would be cool to be up there - looking at the castle and the Wishes Fireworks.

I've never ridden Everest, but I bet it has a nice night time aerial view.

I wonder if ToT is neat at night.

Those are probably the main ones.

Tower of Terror is soooo much fun at night! So is Expedition Everest.

Test Track is my all time favorite to ride at night. Specifically for the outdoor part.

I agree with BTMRR for sure. The best time to ride it is at night.

Dumbo was really cool at night. But we made it our last ride of the night while the fireworks were just starting. The black stuff from the fireworks fell into our faces (eyes, mouth). But it was still kinda cool.

Guess I'd say all the same ones as everyone else. Splash is really neat, but not when it's sleeting like it was on our last trip (Jan 05)! My son didn't like TOT in the dark - he was fine on it during the day, but it freaked him out at night (granted he was 3 at the time, but still!) Personally, I didn't think it was as much fun because I think one of the neat parts of TOT is looking around the park before you fall, and I think in the dark by the time you got your eyes focused, you were falling.

I agree that Big Thunder is cool in the dark - we probably won't even try it in the daytime on our upcoming trip since my kids are older now and would probably find it boring then, but might enjoy it in the dark. Same for Jungle Cruise - I didn't even know it was ever open in the dark until reading these boards recently. That sounds like a lot of fun. Is Everest ever open late enough that it runs in the dark? Thought AK usually closed before dark, even with the EMH's.

There is nothing like Kali at night. EE is really cool too. EMH evening are the best time to be in AK.

The Wedway people mover is lovely at night or at dusk.

Obviously it's closed after dark, but try and hit KS as late as you can. As the sun sets, the cats wake up and are very cool to watch. Also, right around this time, head over to MJT and see the tigers. Often they get fed around then and the are jumping around and wrestling.

EE, and BTMRR would be the two "must" rides!

It sounds like the majority of the rides are great at night. I don't recall riding too many outside rides at night, but I'll have to check them out. But since everyone seems to like all the rides at night, are there any rides that really don't do the trick at night?

I agree with previous posters and add Astro Orbitor to the cool night rides. I think all outdoor rides are better at night.

Try to hit BTMRR as Wishes is starting. We did this last trip and it was so much fun.
