Nighttime noise in the tent loops?

How is noise at night? In December. In the partial loops.

I should not be on Tripadvisor.com right now but I am and I read some bad reviews of nighttime noise.

December needs to come really soon.

I wouldn't worry about it, in all the trips we've had there, we haven't had any problems with excessive noise. When I think back and compare our trips in wdw hotels to our trips at the Fort, I remember more noise from kids running down hallways than noises at the campsites. You might have more families camping on the weekend that might cause more activities and noise, as the families come and go.

Have you already requested a loop? Are you going to take Christmas decorations?

We have almost always stayed in the 1600 loop with probably 6 stays in the back of the loop that backs to the partial hookup 1500 loop and have never noticed any thing unusual as far as composition of the families staying there over full hook up loops. I wouldn't worry about it.

I seem to remember this topic coming up several weeks ago. The only memorable thing I really remember being mentioned was just the "beep-beep" sound the car makes when it is locked with the keyless remote thing. Lots of people going and just "grabbing something really quick" from their car and not really paying attention to the sound it makes. It made me make a "mental note" to be sure to lock my car "the old fashioned way" to try to cut down on that.

I think that's pretty normal camping stuff though -- and really, in the big scheme -- not annoying at all! :goodvibes

I do the same thing when we are camping :)

In all the years we've been camping at the Fort we only had a problem one time. There was a large group of people in the site next to ours (1600 loop) and they were quite loud well after 11pm. I finally went over to them and politely asked if they could tone it down a little. I really felt embarrased to do that because they were really having a good time - not obnoxious, just laughing loudly & often. They quieted right down & were very sorry about the noise because they didn't realize how late it was. I can understand how that happens!!!

I find most campers to extend the utmost consideration!!:thumbsup2

I was there a few weeks ago and didn't hear anything at night. The only thing I heard where some vehicles in the AM. I did have our fan on the whole time, but the fan is not that noisy.

We are going back for another tent camping trip in December. We were in loop 1500.

I hope to get in that loop again.

I've been in loop 900 and 1000 and encountered the same problem both times. About 4:30-5:00 a.m. each morning the truck comes to empty the dumpsters beside the Meadow Trading Post. The driver is not-so-delicate about setting those puppies down gently. I'm surprised that Tampa doesn't complain about the bang! :scared:

Being in the partial loops you should be okay for the most part. Spurious noises might occur but that would happen any place. No where have I camped around other people that I didn't hear something. :hippie:

In all my years of visiting the Fort I have never once had any problem with noise, tent camping or not. Not that it doesn't happen, but if you get a rowdy neighbor, you can always call security. As for just random noise, I wouldn't worry about it.

Personally, by the end of the day we are all exhausted. Our heads hit the pillow and we are gone....

we don't hear a thing!:goodvibes
