We will be arriving at MCO at about 8:30p.m. and at the resort an hour or so later, I presume. ME suggested that we claim our own luggage, but what I'd rather do is pack a carryon with what we'll need for the evening and let ME handle the checked baggage. Will ME deliver it late that night or in the morning? Has anyone used ME to handle bags with a late night arrival?

Who in DME suggested that you claim your own luggage? We are arriving at 11 pm and are fully intending for DME to transport our luggage to the resort, even if it gets there at 2 am.

There are 2 schools of thought on this.

The last time I arrived at WDW, I did not arrive at my resort until about 9:15, and I had packed a carry on that would see me through the next 36 hours. I waited until about 10:45, and no luggage. I called Luggage Assistance/Bell Services, and asked them to hold the bags until morning. They did, I called in the morning, and my bags were delivered within 25 minutes.

Others have reported that even though they asked for luggage to be held until morning, there were late night knocks on doors. (midnight, 1am, or later). In these cases, it's been suggested that you do NOT use the yellow DME tags, claim your luggage from baggage claim, and bring your own luggage to the bus.

I'm not much help, eh? :lmao: I guess it all just depends on your comfort level. I have had NO problems asking for luggage delivery the next morning.
