I checked online for their viewing dates/times, it looks like they only do it on certain days. Has anyone been to the parks in the summer time? More specifically this past July...did the schedule look the same then, only on select dates?

Also, do they do any fireworks shows at either of the parks? It's been 11 years since DH and I have visited and I don't remember a lot about it, so I'm trying to make sure we don't miss anything when we take our littles for their first there.

TIA!

Not sure about the show schedule. I don't think Universal has been very clear on that.

As to fireworks, not really. The Hogwarts show has a few of the rocket-type ones, shoot up and you see the trail, no big burst at the top or big boom). I believe the lagoon show over at UOR has a few more than that.

Do not expect Disney-style nighttime shows out of Uni. You'll enjoy the Uni shows more if you temper your expectations. ;)

The lights have only been going on less than a year so I wouldn't really use the past schedule as an indicator.

Fireworks aren't really allowed like at Disney because Universal is in a residential zone. So, like pp said, temper your expectations. Disney owns a gazillion acres and has the ability to do more fireworks... though they've been cutting back on those in favor of projection type shows too.

If they are going to have fireworks, or whatever on the date you are there, it will be listed on the papers you can pick up. Or you can ask someone.

A lot will depend on what time the park will close. No way to know that until about 30 days before your visit.

Actually, even though Happily Ever After has a ton of projections, there is also more pyro than Wishes had....and it’s probably the best fireworks show I’ve seen. Just sayin’. ☺️
