Nightmare Night

What a night, our smoke alarm has been going off every 3 hours all night, so in the end we pulled the battery out (after checking for fires obviously!!!)

Well I just got up and half my living room ceiling wet through and dripping!!! What am I meant to do? obviously shut the water off.

Looks like its coming from the new bathroom we had fitted a week ago, will they comeback and fix it? Will I need to re plaster? and does insurance cover that?

Argh just what wasnt needed

big hugs for you Anna sounds like a nightmare all right! It was definately the water that set the alarm off - I used to have a smoke alarm near the bathroom door and if the steam from the bath or shower got in it it would go off, but the bathroom company have to sort it out - I'd stress the urgency if I were you.

Aww hope its sorted soon,and I would imagine if the bathroom was recently fitted the fitters will have to come back and correct whatever has gone wrong.
