Nightmare Before Christmas at Disneyland only?

I'm just wondering if anyone has any theories or ideas about why the Nightmare Before Christmas presence at Halloween time is so much more prevalent at Disneyland vs WDW.

A large percentage of guests at Disneyland are locals.

A large percentage of guests are WDW travel quite a bit to be there, including international guests.

My guess is that Disney has decided that they don't want to overlay the most popular attractions. For one, it takes a lot of time to do so meaning the attraction is down for an extended period. For another, a lot of guests at WDW are on "once in a lifetime" trips so they want to see the "real" attraction

Also, because I threatened them from ever adding that horrid overlay to Haunted Mansion.

I think this is it too. WDW was given a HM overlay a few hers back, but the powers that be opted not to use it and send the parts to Hong Kong. I don't think that was the wrong move though since it takes so long to put the overlay up and take it back down (based on Disneyland) that the ride would be missed by a good percentage of once in a life time (or at least once in a while) visitors.
I think they underestimate the interests of the WDW visitor though. Last fall they did the first ever villains event on Friday the 13th and were completely overwhelmed by the turn out. This year they tried the same event for a fee and apparently failed miserably. But added the Villains Soiree to the halloween parties and those are great (personal experience). They have only had a Jack and Sally meet and greet for a few years and the line is always a mile long, but that might be a move in the right direction.
