Nightcap at Jock's?

We have 5:50 pm ADRs at Hollywood Brown Derby on a night when Studios closes at 8:00 p.m. I figure we'll be heading for the exits when dinner is over, and thought it would be a good time to check out Jock's before heading back to our hotel.

My son (11) is a huge Indiana Jones fan and is excited to see see Jock's. Two questions for anyone who has been there:

1. If we get there around 9:00 p.m. on a Thursday night, what might our wait time look like?
2. Will we be the only parents with kids in tow?

I'm not too worried about my kids behavior or being exposed to rowdiness, but I don't want to be Luke Skywalker trying to bring his droids into the Mos Eisley cantina :D.

Weekdays are not overly busy at a "bar" like Jock's. We were in Disney Springs last night around the same time and Jock's was not crowded at all. I do not believe you will have any issues getting in with seats at that time. And no, you most likely not be the only people with kids in tow.

After all, there is no age limit there and it is Disney overall. He will enjoy the bar as there are a lot of Indiana Jones (and other movie) references through out the building.

Just beware that the weather can affect the wait times pretty wildly. We got in town on Friday October 2nd, checked in at the resort and headed to Disney Springs. We put in our name and were told the wait was 45 minutes - okay, no problem but the skies were about to open up. We opted for the "text us" option and headed across to Raglan Road outdoor bar, snagged the last two stools and waited out the rain. We got the initial text from Disney at 8:36 saying "your estimated wait time is 30 minutes" and got the "you can return now" text at 9:16. I think folks camping out through the rain affected the wait. Mind you, that was a Friday and Disney Springs was really busy.

There's plenty to do nearby so I think a 30 minute wait is definitely worth it. Really good snacks if you don't eat yourself silly at Hollywood Brown Derby (ok yeah right I would be stuffed after that deliciousness) and the drinks were also solidly good - nothing crazy. The ambience was worth it and we had great service. There were a few kids there if I recall, but you're right - a well behaved pre-teen would be fine.

1) You will possibly only have to wait if you want to sit inside. The indoor bar area is small. There's a big patio outside, an outdoor bar and the boat "Reggie" which is kind of a big group seating area. The whole time I was there (a Sunday night), seats were available outdoors. Not so inside.
2) There will be kids.
3) If you don't have a car, you will need to go to a resort from HS to take a bus to Disney Springs.
4) The sausage platter is huge!

Was there week ago Sunday around 9 pm. We walked right in. There was one table for two available inside and a few outside.

From DHS walk over to Boardwalk and catch the bus to DS.

I came in here because I was curious about your question.

But this phrase is full of so much win that I had to actually post something about it. :thumbsup2
