Night Transformation of Parks

It's a one of a kind feeling to be in a theme park after night fall. For those of you that have never had a full on experience of your favorite theme parks after dusk I would highly recommend it.

On that note I ask,
What are your favorite MUST RIDE rides during night?
What are you favorite activities during night?- Is it just walking about viewing the park in it's greatest state? Or riding your favorite rides?

I personally have not been able to stay in Universal/IOA after dark due to traveling with either very young nieces and nephews or my "elder" parents. lmao: They're 47 and 56 and refuse to leave hotel after diner) I have been in Magic Kingdom and Epcot after dark though (MK is Amazing! <3 SM) However, I will be visiting the park with a more "youthful" crowd in the near future and want to make the best of dark hours.

Seen it run last year but didn't get to ride it but HRRR looked so cool at night

We've only experienced Universal once after dark and we were at IOA. We didn't even ride anything but just enjoyed walking around the park. Wide World of Harry Potter was gorgeous and we particularly loved the atmosphere of Jurassic Park.

Saw at picture of Hogwarts at night and I almost melted! I just hope the park is open late enough for us to go at night!

Hulk, mainly for the light effects in the launch tunnel.
Storm, also for the light effects above the turn table (hey now, Storm is pretty cool with the strobe effects)

Doom, for the view.

I rode Hulk one summer night a few years ago while the fireworks were going on...really cool!

My after dark experience on Dueling Dragons (Dragon Challenge) was kinda scary actually. I felt the train was going so fast it was gonna jump the track. I knew that wasn't going to happen but the speed seems so much greater at night.

Oh that sounds really cool................we for some reason have never ridden DD at night ........but we will this year.

Want to do Dr Doom at night as well......although the view will be a short view.......I`ll bet it`s fab

I have done almost all of them at night except RRR, it just opened and did not want to wait that long. I have not been to WWOHP since it opened either.

But I have to say my favorite night rides in order from the top are:

Dudley Do Right
Hulk
Dueling Dragons
Popeye
Doom
Jurassic Park
Jaw's

The only problem with night rides is trying to visit during peak season for the later hours.

I forgot to add, we got stuck on Popeye around 9:45pm right by Me Ship Me Olive. They had to drain the whole ride and come get us. They walked us out one by one to a safe area. By the time we got off it was 10:15pm.

At any rate, creaking around the park with my old bones just taking in the ambience is a favorite thing to do, also riding Dragon Challenge is awesome too! (I like Splash Mountain at night, much better than the daytime so any water ride is neat at night.)

Oh I know it's not. My Dad always talks about how "Old" he is. Mainly his problem are his bad knees. He has torn meniscus in both of his knees plus knee problems run in the family(and has for quite some time) as well as a bad back (hes worked a desk job since he was in his 30s and is a workaholic-- Office Chair +14hours a day+30 years=Bad back!) So theme parks are a bit much for him. Good thing about it though is that we always "have" to stay on site so we can get express passes. =)

US is one of my favorite parks at night, but maybe that's because it reminds me of HHN. JAWS has got to be one of the best attractions to do at night, and I now almost refuse to do it during the day. It takes on a completely different vibe. Hollywood Studios is up there as well, but maybe because it reminds me of Osbourne Lights.

WWoHP is very cool at night. Not to sound lame, but going up the lift-hill on Flight of the Hippogriff and down the first drop gives a really nice view of Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and a decent view of much of the rest of IoA at night.

I only rode the Suess Sky High Trolley, but rode in once in daylight and once after dark. After dark, was definitely worth the 2nd ride and you could see alot of IOA from up there.

IOA:
Ripsaw Falls (it just looks better, and the view you get just before the drop is excellent)
Jurassic Park (looks better and feels scarier)
Doctor Doom (great view of the parks/I-drive all lit up)
Storm (the strobes do make it look better)
Hulk

USF:
Rockit (it's all lit up and pretty!)
Jaws (feels scarier)

We visited the week leading up until Christmas this past year and the first night we were there we stayed in WWoHP until the close of the park. They let us linger at the butterbeer cart and shops and made us exit out through JP as we left. We had the whole walk to ourselves - didn't see another person from JP to almost the Hulk. Got great, great pictures - JP at night and alone is a little spooky, bushes start to rattle and you see shadows

I watched that (Tangled) tonight--second time in a week! Commented to DW how fantastic it looks on Blu. "Frying pans. Who knew, right?".
