Night time parades question

We are going to Disneyland in February 2017. Last year we went at the same time but we were not in the parks much in the evenings. Next time we hope to be.

I know that during February, the fireworks are just weekends.

But what about night time parades? Do they run every night or just weekends?

It's hard to say. This last year it was still nightly, but with the 60th ending they could go back to night time entertainment only on busy days. The day parades often ran during the week though, so maybe they'll have one nightly parade instead of two. The best thing to do is to plan for one weekend evening just to be sure.

I'm not 100% sure if Disney has confirmed the "Paint the Night" parade is staying after the 60th, which is ending in September 2016..

I hope they keep it, it's a great addition. Other nighttime offerings like Fantasmic on run during the weekend during the offseason though :( So even if it's still going it might only be during the weekend if it's offseason.

Ugh. I don't care about Fantasmic. But I think my son (he'll be 3 at the time) will enjoy a nighttime parade. We are avoiding the parks on Saturday and Sunday.

I recall catching part of a parade at California Adventure just as the sun was going on but I can't remember what day of the week it was. I'll have to go look at photos.

Our experience in the off season has been the parades and fireworks are Friday through Sunday only. The 60th celebration had both going every night but I doubt they will keep doing those nightly once the celebration comes to an end in September. We usually do 4 day passes with one weekend day and the rest week days. On the plus side the crowds are pretty minimal due to the off season. The drawback is you only get one shot at seeing the show (which can be a bummer if they cancel the fireworks).

He might enjoy the early evening (5:15) Pixar Play Parade at DCA; I think that runs daily, but with all the upcoming changes you'll want to check closer to when you leave.

The pixar one was the one we watched part of last time. He seemed to like it. Glad to hear that's likely going to be daily.

We will have 5-day hoppers. Last time our "off" days were Friday/Saturday. But I felt Sunday was pretty crowded. So this time I think our "off" days will be Saturday/Sunday. Which means we'll be in the park on Friday. So maybe we'll be able to see Paint the Night then (if it's still running.)

It is WAY to successful to not keep. They kept the 50th parade for 6 years before it was replaced with Soundsational.

We went in September during the off season in 2013 and there was a nighttime parade on Tursday night...
