How do they enforce the night magic hours to those only staying on property?

They filter by not allowing people into rides unless they have a room on property. They used to check by having you show your room key. Now they check by having individuals scan their MagicBand thru the FP+ line.

Those not staying in property can actually stay in the park and shop if they want but they can't board any attractions.

Thanks. Unfortunately we only have an Epcot pm emh while we are there but mk will be open until midnight each night so we should be able to get our fill.

I've often wondered, and I have to say we have never had our ticket checked during EMH to be allowed to ride a ride, so I hope they will be a bit more stricter now with the magic band in place
cal :)

My brother and his family were there back in March/April. They stayed off site and at the time were not offering magic bands to off site guests. I asked him about it. He said they were able to ride during EMH. We are going in June and had also wondered if EMH would be worth it this year because of this. The last 2 years we use EMH to ride the popular rides.

In Feb, my band was scanned before I could get in line to ride during EMH at DHS.

My family did eve. emh last week at HS and then Epcot, we were staying at Dolphin and didn't have our Magic Bands for the first hour of emh at HS (it was our arrival night and we rushed to get over there) and we had to show our Dolphin room keys. Then we stopped and bought our bands and were asked to scan them the rest of the evening. At Epcot we had to scan our bands as well to ride Spaceship Earth, TT and MS. I was glad they were being vigilant, it is supposed to be a perk.
