This will be our first trip to WDW. Will be staying at WL for 3 nights in early January. I want to see all the night time attractions eg fireworks, light show etc.

In which order would you see them so we won't be dissappointed with the next days display? Would like to save the best one until last, so we go home with that wonderful feeling of magic.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Whatever you do, save Fantasmic for last!

Electrical Water Pageant (often forgotten, shouldn't be)
Fantasmic
Illuminations Reflections of Earth
Spectromagic
Wishes

IMHO

for the three nights that you are there, you're going to want to do them in this order.
1. Spectromagic/wishes.
2. Illuminations
3. Fantasmic.
All are wonderful shows and a great way to end each day, so really any order would be alright. Just that this would be the order in whicih I would do it. LOL.

To check the calendar when it is released for Jan. Illuminations is held everynight, but during the slower times, Wish/spectromagic and Fantasmic are not. So depending on your dates you may not get to see all three, or the way the calender works your schedule might be made for you.

Good luck we are going at the end of Jan and doing the fireworks juggle to make sure we see all three.

Although I HAD forgotten about this one until I was reminded here, it is really cute and you should see it. Especially if you're staying at WL. Go up to the 4th floor, the balcony that overlooks the lake. You get a really nice view from there. I forget the exact time, but I remember that it's sometime around 9:30.

You'll find every possibly combo from the people on this site! Just do whatever works for you. I just got back from WL & my schedule pretty much went out the window!! Wishes was my fave & I'm so glad we saved it for last! We even saw Tink fly which was a nice surprise since she was not always there during hurricane season!!
Definately watch ELP since you are at the WL!

We just got back yesterday.

1. See Illuminations first - nice

2. wishes was awesome (thought Spectro was a little boring and too long)

3. Fantasmic Last - was awesome!!!

Personally I would not miss, Wishes, Illuminations or Fantasmic and IMHO any order that works with your touring plan is great. They are all great and none will be a let down.

Check the times and days of your trip closer on the official trip. Wishes is not shown every night - so factor that in first, then Fantasmic depends on what day we will be at MGM (not EE) and lastly Illuminations is every night so that is your "open" night.

We are going for 2 weeks and right now have Fantasmic planned for the 5th night. We want to make sure we see it early in case it gets rained out near the end of our trip! However it sure would make a great finale !!

I agree about the electrical water pageant. We ate dinner at the GF and it took forever so we missed it there. We hopped on the monorail to the Contemporary, watched Wishes from the left side of the balcony (facing MK), then went to the right side to watch the pageant. It immediately followed the fireworks. It's not spectacular, but I'm glad we made the effort to see it. But because you might be sorry if you miss Wishes, Illuminations or Fantasmic, I would put this on my if we get to it list.
I have not yet seen Illuminations, but DO NOT MISS FANTASMIC or SpectroMagic and Wishes.
