I have just been informed that The Night of Joy weekend is taking place during our trip. I kinda understand its a series of christian worship concerts; however, will this event close parks or shows?? I am not a fan of christian rock-i can appreciate its meaning I am a catholic; however, I am not a fan. I am hoping that this will not overshadow our trip. PLease do not reply rudely as religious discussions get heated and I'm not looking for a fight. I am simply asking if this will lead to show closings or park closings-is this in a separate arena. If anyone can tell me what exactly goes on I would love to know so that we can avoid those areas at those times. I've been to places that have these concerts and the people tend to try and convert you and I am cordial, however, I don't really want a religious sermon from a stranger on my vacation. We don't wanna change our dates there is 13 of us going so at this point (4 months to go) vacations have been approved and flights are booked. Thanks.:flower3:

From what I understand the Night of Joy is a seperate hard ticket event. The most disruption you should see is just that the park it is held in will probably close early on that night. Just plan to go there on another day.

I am not sure which park it is at--I think MK? And I would think you might experience a bit higher crowds since this brings in people, but I can't tell you how bad. Hopefully someone with more experience can help you.

You also might try posting this on the Theme Parks board. To avoid the possibilty of a religious debate I would just post a simple question "How much does Night of Joy effect park crowds?" and leave it at that.

It's a separate hard ticketed event, just like MNSSHP, MVMCP, PP&P, Grad Nites, etc. They used to run them at MK, but this year are being moved over to DHS. The only thing to expect is that DHS will close earlier those days to accomodate the event.

they do clear the park before night of joy starts... since it will be at DHS this year the impact should be minimal... last year it was held at MK and we didn't notice anything, just scheduled that day to be in other parks.
