Night of Joy 2005?

I was just wondering if anyone knew when they would put out the dates for when the Night of Joy is going to be this Sept.,2005? And also when do you think the tickets would go on sale?

It is usually the weekend after Labor Day.

My guesstimate for dates would be 9/8/05 - 9/11/05

Once again, that's completely a guess.

Have you ever been to the Night of Joy before?

Good morning!

I went to the Night of Joy this year, on a last minute decision. I was staying at the Pop Century on Thursday, the first night of the program, and someone told me about special discounted tickets for that night only for resort guests. I didn't have a flyer about this in my room (or didn't notice it if there was), so I was happy to hear about this. I went directly to the front desk to get my tickets, and on to Night of Joy. They let me park free that night with my AP.

I have to say, that was one of the most special nights or times I have ever had there. The music was so beautiful, and there were literally no lines for anything. It was raining that night for most of the time, and Disney gave away free rain ponchos (I was trying to buy one at one of the stands).

I remember sitting in one of teacups, and spinning around, listening to the music, and looking at the drizzle coming down from the sky, and thinking.....it doesn't get any better than this!

Yes! Go to Night of Joy! I'm sure you will love it!

I almost forgot! When you are leaving the park at the end of the evening they give you a CD of music that includes songs from several of the groups that perform during NOJ. I tried so hard to stay for all of Michael W. Smith's performance, but my grandson had fallen asleep in his stroller, and it was getting very late. The characters are out to greet everyone, and there is an area set up at which some of them dance with you and the deejay there takes requests for music and announces dedications over the loudspeaker.

Its still too soon for exact dates. It will be however in the first part of September, usually the first or second weekend.

sweet maxine, thank you for telling me a little bit about the Night of Joy! My friend and I are talking about going this Sept. 2005 and from the sound of it we should have a blast! That is really cool that they give you a free cd at the end of the night! Do you remember how much the tickets were by chance? Thanks!

Do you guy's think the dates would be out in like Jan. or Feb.? I know it's really early, but I like to have things planned out way ahead of time if I can.

Zen1, I hope you decide to go to NOJ. I think it will be an evening you won't forget!

I think the tickets for this are around $38 apiece.

You might also see if some of hotels in the area will offer special rates for that time. I didn't stay there, but I think the Holiday Inn at Maingate East was offering a special rate of around $40 or so for people attending the NOJ. I stayed at the Pop Century on an AP rate ($49), but I'm sure for Sept. there should be some room only discount codes out there. I think Sept. is a slow time anyway, and for the rest of the week I was there, the parks were not crowded at all.

I went in '01, and yes, magical. It was a wonderful evening, would love to do it again. There is an 'official' Night of Joy site out there on the Net, can't find it though. I was sure I had it bookmarked, probably do, can't locate it.
