The Mouse is apparently cutting corners to make this cheaper to build and operate, but is not lowering the discussed entry price of $300/person. I just don't see thousands of people per day willing to pay that kind of money, IMO.

Earlier this week Someone posted on Micechat that they took part in a survey regarding Jungle Trek. This person, a disney fan, thought that there were take a survey of a land to be built for Holyland or another Central Florida attraction, untill "DISNEY'S JUNGLE TREK" Came across the screen. Any event I'll be in MK next Friday and will personally hunt down anyone with a clip board

How 'bout just buy Sea World, own Discovery Cove yourself and call it a day?!

Earlier this week I was also reading a thread about someone from the UK who was giving details about a survey regarding Jungle Trek on the rumors roard of another forum ( not Micechat). After someone on thread posted that maybe he did not read fine print on the survey( ie. the NO discloser policy) that person deleted his posts.

Maybe Jim Hill read the same threads. Maybe he even PM'ed those who claimed they took the survey's.

I would think WDW is always running ideas past people but often they are just ideas.

It does not mean any of these ideas are past the idea stage and ready to become reality.

Disney always has ideas and plans.

As with all things Disney...........Time will tell.

--------------------------------------------

BTW:

Good Luck hunt ing down anyone with a clip board and please let them your ideas.

When my family was visiting Disney in the early 90's my sis and I decided to go see the EWP and left the children with our DH's. A young man sat on the bus beside me and said he was an Imagineer and asked if I was enjoying Disney and if I had any Suggestions. He said they were going to close 20,000
leagues and asked what I thought they could put in there. My suggestion was something with Little Mermaid since she was popular at the time. (Arial's Grotto is there now.) I also told the Imagineer that I thought the Dumbo ride needed more Elephants (they only had 10 at the time and now they have 16) I also told him they should add another ride very similar to Dumbo but not Dumbo in another land (Aladdin's Magic Carpet) so they could distribute the young children out in the park more.
I have no idea if he passed on myideas or if another CM suggested similar ideas, but I always smile when I go to the MK and see these attractions. I say to myself "Yes, maybe I should/could have been an Imagineer. It is fun to see ones ideas at the parks even if those ideas were not mine alone.

Take heart your idea may become a reality also. Then you too can say "Yes,my idea was a good one!"

Just my 2 cents.

FWIW:

I just wanted to add that the thread about Jungle Trek on the "other" forum has now magically "vanished". I just tried to look it up again.

I actually took a survey like this regarding the naming for the new Mets baseball stadium here in NY... It's how I found out that Citi was going to be the name... They wanted to know if Citi Park, Citi Stadium or Citi Field was best...

Sometimes surveys let the cat out of the bag...

I think Disney neds to focus on bringing exclusive attractions to the Florida parks... Forget 'new' adventures... You have 4 theme parks, make something happen...

yyyeeeaaahhh....I still dont get it....:confused3

Just to clarify the timeline of this particular rumor:

VernUK originally posted it on WDWMagic. He later posted some follow-up information about the company that did the survey. His thread was then deleted, perhaps because he had revealed too much, but not before Randy Savage reposted the original message on MiceChat. Jim Hill then posted his article, which included a link to the reposted message on MiceChat. It's all just one giant rumor circle. :)

Linda, by chance YOU'RE not the one who suggested Downtown Disney needed more shops and restaurants and thought closing all the clubs would be a good way to accomplish it, are you? Just wondering.

I still cannot imagine this in a park all it's own -- esp when they have DAK. :confused3 You would think this could easily be turned into a behind the scenes experience at DAK.

I wonder if the people that would eat at Victoria & Alberts would be willing to shell out the $300.

Actually I've heard that it may be part of AK, but a separate entrance to other portions of the park or something like that.

The thing is, Disney doesn't need barely 1% of their annual attendance to make this park a success if its capacity will be similar to Discovery Cove's (2,000 guests per day)

I eat there but if they charged $300, I wouldn't.

No, I don't mean if they charged $300 for V&A, I mean if you go to V&A, which costs substantially more then most other eateries, would you go to this new park and pay $300, which is substantially more then any other Disney park.

Wow.. just wow.

Give it up Jim.

I'm shocked... SHOCKED to find out rumor mongering is going on there.. :)

I too took a survey MONTHS AND MONTHS ago about a Disney night kingdom. I was very intereested in it. They had some really cool ideas and the things to do were much more adventerous then the regular theme park stuff. I wonder what it will really end up being.

No. I'm not paying $300 for admission to anything. Just because I can spend $150 for dinner once in awhile does not necessarily mean I would pay $300 to get into a theme park.
