Night EMH

we *love* the late hours (and we have a 2yo! he's a trooper! LOL!) 'cause the parks are totally empty the last hour or two... well worth staying up for... and disney parks late at night are awesome... plus the lines for the buses are usually pretty short getting back to the resort (which btw, at 1am or later is like a ghost town!)

Also at 3am the trams to the parking will usually drop you off at your row.

leaving MK 3am night before Easter

I have two questions -
I need to confirm the EMH for MK for a specific date - my daughter and boyfriend arrive at the Orlando airport very late on Friday, July 2 - 10:43 PM arrival. They will collect own luggage, ride DME to resort and check in - I figure, based on what I have read, that they should be to the resort to check in by about midnight, give or take 15-20 min. My questions come in here - I get confused by the EMH dates when I look at the parks calendars - is the EMH for MK on the evening of Friday, July 2 even though it's technically the 3rd since it's after midnight? Or is the MK EMH for the evening of Saturday, July 3? I don't know if that makes any sense after I read it, lol :lmao:

Part 2 of question - do you have to be inside the EMH park BEFORE EMH starts, or can you arrive at 1:00 AM and still enter?

Oh, I guess I have a 3rd question - Are they currently using wristbands for EMH or just showing your resort ID/KKTW card to get on the EMH rides?

Thanks so much in advance! And if I need to clarify my confusing date/schedule issue in question 1, let me know :rolleyes1

1- July 1 is MK AM EMH. (8AM-9AM)
2- July 2 is MK PM EMH (12M-3 AM) Technically, the EMH would begin very early Sat July 3. But, that is still considered the "same day" as July 2nd, as the "close-of-business" for MK
on July 2 would not take place until early that following morning of July 3rd.
3- No.
4- Yes.
5- No.
6- Yes.

Ahahahaha! :thumbsup2 Just as I had hoped! Thanks so much for the quick and awesome information...this helps out soooo much in our planning! :woohoo:
Thanks, Robo!

Another question about EEMH at Epcot. Is it just Future World that stays open the extra three hours. For example, if Future World closes at 7pm, then EEMH will take it to 11pm, but will World Showcase close at it's regular time of 9pm, or close at 11pm with FW or will it stay open until midnight?

Sorry to be such a dunce :confused3. We've never done EEMH before and my husband wants to take his time at WS this year.

but even if u show up and 1am for EMH wont it use one of your park days

It will still be considered park of the previous day's business.
It would use the same option on a ticket as entering that park at, say, 8 PM on that Friday, July 2nd, even though it is "technically" Saturday, baseon clock-time.

If the guest had entered another park earlier that day, that guest must have either the Hopper option or an AP to enter the PM EMH park.
It would not (and could not) use "another day" on a multi-day MYW ticket.

If the guest had NOT already entered a different park earlier that day, going
to PM EMH at MK (in this case) WOULD use a full day's ticket value.
That day would be counted against the date that MK (in this case) had first opened
its gates for the first guests in the morning.

Again, the PM EMH is still considered park of the same day as it was when that particular park first opened for business.

Yes I go to those hours all the time if I'm there during the summer months. It's still very crowded from about 12 to 1. It starts to empty out between 1 and 2. Then after 2, it's pretty much a walk on for any ride except for possibly space mountain and peter pan. For whatever reasons, those rides always seem to get bottled up towards the close.

Now I'm bumming that we couldn't muster the energy at stay up past 12:30 AM!
