Night before transportation

I know most of you fly down the day before your cruise begins and stay in a hotel. Besides renting a car how would you get to the port from your hotel you stay in???

Assuming you are staying close to the airport, there are a couple options.

DCL transportation is one. We are doing it this time for August, just have to meet the DCL bus at a certain place at MCO.

Towncar is another. People have their own prefereces; we liked Tiffany Towncar, but choose whichever what you wish.

Our TA tells us renting a car is most economical, but since we aren't 25 yet, renting is more expensive. Also, if you have more than 3 people in your group, a towncar would be better. DCL transfers are 60 pp I think. And a towncar averages somewhere around that or less.

To get to the port from the hotel you could either hire a car service like Tiffany Towncars, FL Tours (sponsor of this board) or something similar to these services.

You could also get Disney transfers and stay at an airport hotel, take the shuttle back to the airport and get on the Disney bus. It's all a matter of personal preference.

If you are staying at a WDW hotel you can also buy the transfers and they will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the cruise. I think *if I'm remembering correctly* that at a WDW hotel if you buy DCL transfers you can put your luggage out in the hall the morning you leave for the port and DCL picks it up and it "magically" appears in your stateroom.

For our family we prefer to be able to go when we want to go so we hire a car service to take us and also because the cost is about even for my family of 5 to take a limo vs Disney transfers and a little less if we opt to use a Van instead of a Limo.

For others they would rather ride the DCL bus and get the Disney magic started early and also then DCL takes care of your luggage for you.
