I think we've waited a little too late, but we're having difficulty finding an overnight hotel for our April Wonder cruise. We tried Ron Jon's but there's no availibility. We need to have ground floor with connecting rooms because of our friend's disability. Has anyone had connecting ground floor rooms at the Raddison or anywhere else? We've stayed at Hampton Inn but there wasn't a connecting room on the ground floor with 2 double beds. Thanks for any info. Cathie :confused3

We stayed at the Best Western Oceanfront. It was not the great hotel in the world, but it was fine for what we needed it for - just a place to sleep before the cruise. The hotel was only 2 floors so there were plenty of ground floor options. And I am almost sure our room connected to the one next door.

Have a great trip!

Like Julie, we had ground floor connecting rooms last year, and I echo everything she said about the hotel.. We also stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites, with the same situation, and the hotel about the same. Would not hesitate to stay at either again...

We stayed at the Motel 6 - clean, comfortable, fridge and microwave. Plenty of ground floors - in fact ours was huge!

Booked it through Orbitz.

HTH!

NOw, I would NEVER EVER use Priceline - I need control and you completely give it up with them. But in Jan. the night before our cruise I really didn't want to drop almost $150 for the Radisson so I tried it. I asked for a 3.5 star hotel for $30 and ended up in a suite right outside the airport. Clean, comfortable, mostly convention/business people, free breakfast and did I mention - $30!!! We had a rental car and just drove to the port early in the AM after breakfast. The rooms were large and several were handicap accessible. 3 floors with an elevator, we were on the first floor.

We werre very happy that we saved that $$ the night before so we could spend it on the ship. We plan on doing the same thing when we go this Nov.

HTH - I guess it won't if you are not flying into Orlando the day before, but for anyone else, it's a good option.

Have fun!

Oh yea, almost forgot. At only $30 we figured if the place was horrible we would just skip it. Almost everyplace had a vacancy (except at holiday time I guess).

Thanks for all the info! My sis was able to get the Comfort Inn & Suites Cocoa Beach for the night before our cruise in April. They guaranteed 2 ground floor connecting rooms (suites) (there are 7 of us) with one being handicap accessible. Dave's DCL Tribute site was also very helpful. Thanks again..we'll let you know how it is! Cathie & The Gang

That is great!! Isn't it fun to plan all this things to finish off your cruise holiday!!! I found that each and every one made us closer to take-off!!

Enjoy your cruise... :sunny: :sunny:
