Hey Everyone,
I will be taking my niece (18) & Nephew (14) on their first trip to Disneyland this coming June. We are all WDW veterans; I have been to DLR about 5 times, and DLRP once. Disneyland is by far, my favorite park. (and I've told them this over, and over!) I can't wait to show them Walt's park. I am having trouble deciding what their first Disneyland experience will be. Any suggestions and ideas are most welcome! I am planning the Fantasmic! Dessert package (assuming I can get reservations) on their first night there. We'll be staying at the GC for 7 nights arriving June 17.
thanks so much!

Be sure to get their first time visit button! Have fun!

For the first experience, get there for rope drop on Main Street (hopefully they still do this)?. They let people in a little early through the turnstiles and you line up on Main Street literally behind a rope. They countdown over the loud speakers and then start playing music as the park officially opens. And as you enter, CM's are waving - it always gives me goosebumps! Of course, this only works if you first time to the parks is in the morning!

You can also do a dining package at either Ariel's or Wine Country Trattoria for World of Color viewing. Maybe Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour? Lunch/dinner at Blue Bayou. If they like fine dining, dinner at Napa Rose. You can have Vacation Planning do all of your reservations including Fantasmic! - they are great and I use them every trip! Saves a lot of phone calls and all tickets are waiting for you when you check into the Grand along with a daily itinerary. Call 714-300-7526, press 2. They can also arrange a welcome gift to be waiting in the room when you arrive.

You can also ask to ride in the pilothouse on the Mark Twain and if you take the monorail, ask for either the front or back.

Have fun!
