As of last night, the MRSA is in Bella's upper thigh, her arm, and her back. She has not had surgery yet for the MSRA. She has fluid around her heart and a "spot" on her aorta. The surgeons placed a drain in her heart to continously drain the fluid. There is nothing they can do about the spot on the aorta. The surgeon who is in charge of the MRSA hopes to wait until Monday to perform the surgery on her leg, arm and back because her surgical team is not in place on the weekends, although she could call them in to work if needed. The surgery could still possibly be performed today if the surgeon deems it necessary.
I don't know what to think about this. Originally, the doctors insisted it was critical this surgery be performed on Saturday. Bella's arm had doubled in size as of Saturday evening since the doctors originally decided Saturday morning it was mandatory the surgery take place on Saturday. The surgeon made the call to delay surgery without even seeing Bella. She was supposed to see Bella later in the evening (after 9:00 pm). Please pray not only for Bella but for the doctors and surgeons to make their decisions based soley on Bella's condition and not on external factors.
