I've never really thought much about it but you should see his soldiers' faces when they see him calling me Angelface and stroking my hair. The only time I hear my DH use my real name is when we are having a disagreement, and even then not usually. He usually calls me honey or hon. The only time I normally use DH's real name is when we are having a disagreement. I usually call him sweetie or honey. There are other names I call him when we are "disagreeing" but this is a family board. Oh and yes we use our nice nicknames out in public.
