Nickelodeon Studios/Taping Shows

We are going to Orlando in the Spring & my 8 yr. old is obsessed with those live game shows that were taped at Nick Studios in Universal.

However, I haven't been to Universal in almost 10 years, and I think that most of those shows are no more. Except for maybe Slime Time?? Does anyone know if the old Guts, Hidden Temple etc. still film? If not, does Slime Time, or anything else?

Nick's contract with Universal expired and was not renewed. the only thing they're consistently taping is wrestling. there are still Nick characters and Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast attraction. but the slime fountain and the Nick stuff from Production Central is all gone.

Was this a recent split? I'm thinking maybe since the spring? I think that was when I last saw Slime Time on regular Nickelodeon.

the Slimetime Live tapings stopped before the contract ended. Nick still had a studio show kind of like the one they have at the Nick Hotel now.

Production Central is pretty much a ghost town now, it's kind of sad. we used to line up early for a shot to be at the live tapings and have our daughter on TV.

Yeah, that was my son's goal, to get to at least be there to actually witness a taping. And maybe see that slime fountain. What a bummer!

Thanks for the info though. Maybe someday they will re-enter the FL area. It's such a shame that it's over for now.

What a huge bummer. I was hoping we could go to some kind of taping also. My kids love to watch all the old Nick show. They get such a kick out of the hair and clothes, and not to mention the prizes. You WIN....chocolate milk .

I'm sure we'll still have a great time...but it's a shame neither U.S. or MGM do any taping anymore.

The old Nickelodeon building will be the new home for the Blue Man Group show coming to Citywalk!!
