hi!thinking about staying at the nick hotel for 2 days in dec before going to disney. not planning on leaving hotel... just want to enjoy it. figure it would only be a day and a half really... any feedback would be helpful. my daughter is 6, thanks:)

That is the perfect way to enjoy that hotel. Just keep in mind that your there for the kid and not you,all kids dig the place, the same can't be said for all adults. I drank a lot when I was there, I think the Nick rocks ;).

oh for sure! its all about her. hard to find info about dinner? seems like we may have to leave for that. buffet only serves breakfast? otherwise its the foodcourt?

I had salmon one night and steak another off the menu. Both were as good if not better than typical Holiday Inn fare that you see as a staple on their menu at all Holiday Inns. My kid ate the buffet and didn't care, she wasn't there for the grub. My wife and sister said the buffet was meh, I laughed at them and had another beer :).

The Breakfast buffet was pretty good, everyone was happy, even a friend of the family who worked at Disney that joined us that morning said it was good.

Lunch was from a pool side stand and was some fried crap that was...... well some fried crap and it was ok I guess, I tend to drink my lunch (I'm one of the drunk people you read about in the poor reviews on Trip-Advisor).

Never ate at the food court. Maybe my view of the the Nick is scued because we stay free on points, but the place is a gas if you ask me.

So the question is... if you aren't drunk .... is Nickelodeon still doable? Or does it require alcohol to overcome the vast amounts of orange?

Went last June for 1 night and I never want to step foot in that place again! Of course my DD would love to go back! Pools are overcrowded with unsupervised kids. All kinds of junk floating in the pools by mid-afternoon and the water was cloudy by then also....disgusting. Very hard to keep track of your children on the waterslides with the sheer amount of other children who are running around without any parents in sight....saw lots of lost little toddlers crying for their mothers/guardians...as they were too busy to pay attention to them or just didn't care. Food court was a joke.....with 3 vendors open for purchases....Subway, a place that sold hamburgers/ice cream, and a pizza place.

Maybe go at an "off" time to avoid the mass number of kids and have the pools more to yourselves. Give me a Disney water park any day over the Nick hotel!
