Nickelodeon Family Suites Coming To Orlando

Thanks Jessica this will be a hit with kids everywhere and probably a few big kids as well will need to plan a return trip in 2005 a give it a try:D

Wow, JR!

Not that the HIFS needed any help! They're already very popular!

I stayed there back in 2000 and was amazed at what a great idea it was. My only complaint was how FAR it was from Universal! Back then we stayed for about $65 a night, it's almost impossible to find that rate anymore.

I'm sure the new theming will come with a price hike, too! :earseek:

 Hi Robin!

How far is it from Universal? Thanks!

From what I was able to download - sounds really interesting. Only problem is I think it's completely the opposite end to Universal - more Walt Disney side! But the rooms, pools and layout do seem a bit different from the norm. Thanks Jessica - it's worth considering.:D

This sounds so cool! I have to agree that I wish it would were closer to Universal. I think this Holiday Inn is located on Hwy 192. It will be quite a ways away from Universal. Bummer!

That's great. We will definitely try it out. But it is not very close to Universal. As a matter of fact, it's right outside of one of the main entrances to the Walt Disney World property.

Hopefully the property will have transport to Universal on offer and with being so close to Disney u get best of both worlds:jester:

I find it ironic that they'd have the Nickelodeon-themed hotel over by Disney... Now, I'm sure there are Holiday Inns closer to Universal...I mean, with the Nickelodeon attractions and characters at Universa, it only makes sense to have it NEAR Universal... Cute idea, but not very well thought out - location wise (unless they expect all kids to go to Disney instead of Universal...but, still...)

Hi, JR!

Yes, the HIFS is about 5 mins from Disney, 20 mins from Universal. We would hit I-4 and take the ride anyway.

The HIFS is a great property. The upgrades to two bathrooms is a BIG plus. They offer a HUGE FREE breakfast buffet which can save you a ton of money. Every room has a refrigerator and a microwave, also.

My sister, Michael and I stayed in one of the kidsuites. It was in the cooooldest January on record!! Michael had his own room with a TV, bunkbeds and a Nintendo. My sister had the pull out couch with her own TV and I had a queen sized bed in my own room with a TV and VCR. Since we spent alot of time in the room it was a pleasure to have separate areas!

Perhaps thats the idea to spread out infringing on Disney its amazing the amount of people who travel to Orlando every year yet never go anywhere but Disney

You know, that's true. I never thought of it that way :)

Can I get an upgrade to the Fairly Odd Parents wing? The Squidward Suite for an extra $35?

Its kind of a bummer though. I wish this was an on site hotel with front of the line passes. I would stay there in a heartbeat, but I'm not traveling and giving up front of the line. Think of what they could have done with this onsite, character breakfasts, the check in people wearing crusty crab uniforms, etc.

What a bummer! That is too far away from Universal. Maybe we'll stay a night or 2 when we visit Disney. Gotta at least check it out for the kids...(yeah the kids thats it).:p

It sounds great!!! I do agree also that it would've been better closer........... I don't know, since I'm spoiled now, if I can give up the head of the line............... it's soooooooooooo nice!!! But Hey, the royal pacific and me, well were like peas and carrots  I love the RPR! Love it, Love it

unless of course the spongebob rooms are discounted!!!! then my 4 year old will win............
