I'm looking for a discount for the Nick Hotel for 3/12 to 3/14/10. We are 2 families with 5 each. I just cant see paying $222 a nite. But we have kids that would love it:love: I sure could use some help on this one.:worship: TIA, :flower3:

Other than the usual AAA discount, I'm not aware of any that are available for your dates yet. You might want to sign up for their newletter. They frequently send out emails with discount rates to their newsletter subscribers.

You still have plenty of time for a deal. This past spring they had quite a few different deals. I booked thru Expedia and got a rate of $79/nite. I ended up with a upgrade when I checked in and with the Expedia rate I did not have to pay the resort fee.

Keep watching for deals-many times the Orlando attractions and hotels thread will give you a heads up on current deals. Unless you are going during a very busy time-you can hold off on making ressies until a month or two before the trip.

Travelzoo often posts discounted rates to Nick Hotel. Sign up for their Top 20 deals newsletter.

Just an FYI, they are no longer a Holiday Inn. I don't know when this occurred or why, but they are gone from the Holiday Inn website.

I wonder if they are affiliated with another chain, or just stand-alone?

I second the info about travelzoo. Have seen some great rates on there. There is also a discounted rate you can get with the entertainment book. No idea how good it is. It says to call and ask for the entertainment rate when you book. Says 25% off...but off what, who knows! If it works for you, I can send you the coupon, I won't be needing it.

I read somewhere that they may have an affiliation with Marriot starting in 2010, so they probably had to lose their affiliation with Holiday Inn to be able to stay open. I know I've read that somewhere...maybe even a Nick Hotel thread here on the DIS boards.

Back to OP's question... I've heard great deals thru Travelzoo and Expedia, and we are hoping to go there next year. I would check with those frequently.

I sent you a PM :flower3:
