Has anyone been?
I'm going October 20-22 and it really looks cool.

You most likely will have a better response if you post this on the hotel forum. This is a non-Disney or Universal hotel.

Yes, you really want the Universal Hotels and Attractions Boards for the most responses. However, just having gotten back from there 4 days ago, I'll be glad to give you your first review! My kids (7 and 9) absolutely loved it! We have been there twice before, when it was Holiday Inn Family Suites, and we loved it then. It is SO much better now! The pool areas are awesome, almost like going to a water park, but without the long lines and lots of walking! They have poolside Slimetime type games (very short) a couple of times a day. When we were there they were at 11:30, 2:15 and 4:30. Your kids may be picked to be in the game. They also have hula contests and some other games, and crafts which we always missed. We didn't eat there due to previous experiences, but maybe the food is better now.
They have Nick or Treat during Oct. and my kids were excited about that, but it was pouring rain and so they moved it indoors and cancelled some of the activities/ treat spots. It was a little disappointing. What they do is have the characters at different spots, and the kids line up to see the characters. When they get up there you can take a picture and the kids get candy or a little trinket. We saw Dora, Blue, SpongeBob and Squidward. We also saw Wanda and the other fairy from Fairly Oddparents on a different day in the cafe area.
The suites are cool for the kids, and also offer some privacy for the adults. I remember staying there before and thinking how big the suites were compared to a regular hotel room. This time we had just come from 3 nights in a Deluxe room at the Hard Rock Hotel, and all I could think was how small it was when we first walked in. It is bigger than it appears, with the 3 separate areas, it just doesn't seem roomy at first. You will have a pretty nice sized frig, microwave and coffemaker in the room, so you may want to stop at a store and pick up snacks and maybe even breakfast for the room.
There is an arcade where the kids had fun (the games all say 2 tokens, but the Penguin one runs on just 1, even though it says 2 ;) ). They will get tickets to trade in for prizes, a la Chuckie Cheese. They have Bingo in the afternoon and 3 Nickelodeon shows at night (sign up for the ones you want when you check in, to be sure of seats). We didn't realize the 8:00 show was not Slimetime Live, but Who Knows Best. It was cute, but the kids would have rather seen Slimetime Live. They also have Karaoke after that, but we were all beat by that time after spending the day at the pool.
Well, that's all I can think of! Hope you have fun!

We stayed here one night in August, prior to our stay at the Royal Pacific. 3 kids and myself. The room was plenty big, with lots of space for all of us. We had a two bedroom suite with twin beds in one room, a double bed in the other room for me, and one kid slept on the pullout couch. It was so CLEAN ! That is always a nice surprise! The pools were a lot of fun, especially the giant slides! I would definitely stay here again, even though my children are a little older than the target kids age....
We loved it.

Just bring your own games, or you can rent for $5. Not that you go there to play nintendo, but sometimes a little down time in the middle of the day gives mom time to nap!

We are doing just that for spring back. Do you think going to Nick before was better or would you suggest doing nick second?
