Has anyone stayed here since they have implemented the security bracelets?
I was considering staying here for 1-2 nights. My nephew was going to visit on one of the afternoons, but won't be listed on our reservation. Will I be able to get a bracelet for him? He is 5 and it says anyone over 4 needs one.

We stayed last October, and everyone in our party needed the bracelets. My daughter was 6 at the time, and complained to the woman at checkin about having to wear it, and she was told she must keep it on or she cannot go in the pools. Needless to say, it stayed on!

Since he is not on the reservation, he will not be allowed to go in the pool. They are pretty strict about that now. Being a paying guest, you may be able to purchase one for him, but honestly I doubt it. That was the kind of thing they were specifically trying to avoid when they implemented the bracelets. I would call ahead and ask about it, but be prepared that they will probably say no.

Hi! I was there in Feb. and wasn't impressed at all. Needless to say, I will not be returning anytime soon. But, I did want to let you know upon check-in they tell you that IF you "lose" a bracelet, you can replace it for $25. I thought that was steep, but I guess that for $25 you will make sure you do not loose the bracelets. The girl who checked us in was not the brightest and handed me 2 additional bracelets than I needed for my kids. I have 3 year old quadruplets and she handed me 6 bracelets for the kids. You pay for the room, not by the head. So, If you have the room to add him onto your booking, do that. He doesn't need to stay there for the whole length of your trip but if he is listed in your room, they will hand you the additional bracelet for when he arrives. I hope this helps.

Thank you for all the help! We stayed here before Nickelodeon bought it and loved it, I thought with the new discount, we would try it for 1 or 2 nights, but now with some of the recent reviews that I have read, I am not so sure.

Thanks Again,
Kim

Are these bracelets something you can take off at night or are they like a hospital bracelet?

You are not supposed to be able to take them off but I can't stand to wear them all the time so I put mine on really use and slipped my hand out of it when we were not at the pool. There was no way I was wearing that orange paper bracelt to all the disney parks.

they're plastic with the little studs like a hospital bracelet.

as long as you have it if it comes off, they'll fit you with a new one at guest services. if you lose it, you have to pay for a new one.

Thanks! I understand why they need to keep track of guests. I would hate to spend the money on the resort only to have people who dont belong there come by to pool hop. Just hate the idea of having to wear the bracelets all the time. We are attending a party during our stay and dont want to be wearing plastic "theme park' type bracelets. Glad to hear we can take them off and turn them in for new ones without charge.
