Nick characters?

We are taking my darling nephew to Disney for his first visist in May (we promised he is old enough when turning 5 which is in March)

He is very excited, but is bad at distinguishing Disney versus Nick Jr and absolutely loves their characters and is telling everyone he is going to see them.

Do you have any suggestions on how or where we can get to any of them? I was very disappointed to see that the Nick Hotel does not even allow non-guests on-site, let alone participation in character breakfasts or events (seems like they could make alot of money just charging a higher price!)

You could consider a day at Universal Studios.

Unfortunately, the only way other than staying a night at the Nick is to do US for a day. Even then, you aren't guaranteed the characters you want. The Nick hotel had too many problems with people sneaking on site to use their awesome pool that they really started cracking down and they are pretty tight on security now. It's good if you are staying there but bad if you just want to do breakfast there or check out the resort.
