I like him also. LOVE Con Air and Face Off..probably 2 of my favorite movies. The dude has a habit of over acting (in my opinion) but like him anyway. I dont find him the least bit attractive but think he has a nice chest

I love him too! In 2007 he bought a 12 bedroom house a few towns over from me. I have family who lives in the same town and they heard all about his tax problems with that house! He bought it the same year as his English castle I'm pretty sure he sold that house.

Raising Arizona is one I love. And Moonstruck. Generally all his movies. too bad his life is such a mess but I think he is still working with all the crazy going on.

This is what happens when you take one of our beloved icons and compare them to someone else. If you had inserted another icon, you would have gotten the same reaction. Don't take it personally.

Hey you never know about stars. Bob Hope looked like a class act but was a supreme jerk, rude beyond belief. He looked like a great guy. NOt saying Jimmy Stewart wasn't but you know.

I always enjoy his movie performances no matter how bad the movie is. I really know nothing about his personal life, so I was shocked to hear about this arrest and the tax issues.

Overall I'm ambivalent about Nic Cage. Sometimes I enjoy, sometimes not so much, some movies I have no desire to go see or even watch on cable.

I am sick and tired of all of these multi-millionaire celebrities & their back taxes. It seems once a week or more another story comes out about yet another one. IMO once they know they owe, they need to pay or start selling off all but one residence to live in. I sure as heck know the IRS, the state, county or even my city wouldn't give me that much slack.

I never thought of that, but you're right. They do have physical similarities.

Anyway, I have to love him (as an actor) for Raising Arizona. That movie makes up for anything bad (role-wise) that he has done since.

Good grief. I must have missed the post where it said I had to agree with you. I think he's nothing like Jimmy Stewart and I am obviously far from alone. Don't get so defensive. Another poster said something about people being "uptight" but they weren't describing my post because I wasn't reactionary.

The only movie I've ever liked that he was in is Moonstruck, and that's due to the entire cast, certainly not his acting. He's been taking every role thrown at him lately. Wonder why?

Same here. I thought they were pretty great, esp. "Knowing".

I have not seen "Season of the Witch" however it is on my Netflix list. I do admit that I like several of his movies. Was not a great fan of "National Treasure" but it was not hideous either.

I just watched "Skyline" and let me tell you THAT MOVIE was pretty Grade B.
