Nicest suites offsite?

We usually stay at the GCH, but DH is not so sure that will work with an almost 2yo who sleeps better in her own room (not to mention having to keep quiet while she is napping.) We've gotten connecting rooms in the past, but we're trying to keep costs in check this time around.

I've looked into HOJO, but all their suites are booked for our dates (feb 17-20.). :sad1:

Any other suggestions?

Maybe try Peacock suites... its an ART ride to DL or a 10 minute walk but they have two rooms seperated by doors.. very cool :)

Would like to know this as well as we're considering our first trip to DL.

O.K. stupid question too, what is HOJO?

We like Homewood and Residence Inn for their suites that work better for our kids and us. Both also have complementary breakfast and light weeknight dinners. All 3 properties are nice and have varying kid's activities such as face painting, Monday night ice cream, a play area, kid's movies. Homewood was voted top hotel for families in the Anaheim area by Trip Advisor.

Check out the Hyatt OC. It is a little ways up Harbor so you probably wouldn't want to walk to the parks but they do have a free shuttle that runs reliably every half hour. It is probably the nicest of the hotels near Disney and you can get a suite (2- bedroom Queen Suite - or King I guess since you only have one kiddo) that has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a living area in between. It's different from connecting rooms as there is only one door to the hallway. Each "bedroom" is a full size hotel room. The whole hotel has been recently remodeled and it is beautiful. Wonderful guest service, decent restaurant, full service Starbucks on site, and WAY cheaper than anything onsite. (We usually pay less than $200 a night for a suite there.)

I think the restaurant referred to in the above post is Mimis. Great place to eat, next to Howard Johnson :)

The problem with most of the suites is there is only one bathroom.

We really like Embassy Suites South down on Harbour. There is a door between the bedroom and the front room, and a TV in each room also. It worked out great for us when DH was little and needed to fall asleep in a quiet room. It is not walking distance though, so you'd need to use ART or drive.

I second Peacock Suites, they have a tv room and also a bedroom that can be seperated by sliding doors. They also have a pull out sofa bed in the tv room and the curtains block out any light coming through.

They also have free breakfast and are on the ART path :thumbsup2
