Nicest studios?

But it would be nice we staying at OKW in a studio to have a nice sofa to sit on.

Alas, one person's "it would be nice" is another person's "pain in the back" (literally, in this case).

We have liked dedicated studios the best. Our favorite one was at VWL, it was a corner room and had an extra window and closet. At BWV, the dedicated studios have a bench, some use it as a daybed, I just used it to put packages on. At BCV, it had a huge balcony. So, dedicated studios get my vote. Plus there's no noise from the neighbors through the connecting door!

Stayed at OKW in a studio earlier this month and loved it. I was at the end of a building so basically had a front porch I could use like an extra balcony PLUS the regular little porch on the back. Not sure if others have mentioned this but it seems to me that the balconies at most other DVC resorts kind of line up side by side with absolutely no privacy. I prefer the way the OKW units are staggered and also that they have pretty dense landscaping that gives you privacy from other units.

I like BWV the best followed by BCV and then SSR. They are all really pretty and at BWV alot of times you can get the daybed in there too.

I prefer OKW because of the 2 Q beds.

Only dedicated studios at BWV have a wooden deacon's bench with a thin foam pad on it. This is what they refer to as a "daybed". Lots of people use it for a luggage rack. This type of studio is called a Studio Plus and it can NOT be requested. You used to be able to request the Studio Plus, but about five or six years ago, they stopped allowing that.

There is no good way to put five in a studio. Even with one being a baby.

My Dh & I stayed in a studio back in September on a Friday night before we left for our 7 day cruise on the Disney Magic. We were given a wonderful studio - it was clean, cool, & very convenient. We were close to the pool & hot tub which we took advantage of that night. As far as views it was nice -- but I"m like my Dh I'm not too excited about being on ground level --- but with the great room we got -- we can't complain. Can't remember what room # it was but we enjoyed it. Then after our cruise we went to the BoardWalk & stayed 2 nights (Sat & Sunday) in a studio. And let me tell you - we requested a BoardWalk view & that is "exactly" what we got- when we checked in the CM @ the desk told my Dh we got a great room -- and she was right we did - we were right there on the Boardwalk - on the "TOP" floor w/a view of the board walk, beach club & the Epcot Ball in the distance --it was truely beautiful -- I wouldnt' let my Dh close the curtains @ night because I wanted to look @ the beautiful sights of Disney as I drifted off to sleep -- but besides the view the room too was great -- nice, clean & very cool a/c which for my Dh is a must!!!!! And once again I have no idea what room # we stayed in but so far our experience w/DVC & these 2 studios has been great for us!

I'm Confused, I keep reading on this site that OKW has the largest Studios. My DVC information that I recieved when I bought shows OKW studios at 390 Square feet and BWV studios at 412 Square feet. Now I know that the OKW studios have 2 queen beds, and that makes them better for a family of four, but It looks like BWV studios give you more overall room, am I missing something here?

OKW one and two bedroom units are MUCH larger than the units at the other resorts, but studios seem to be about the same size (I guess I don't consider the 22 square feet to be that much bigger or smaller). They are laid out different than the other resorts, which may make them feel larger - though having two queens they have the "constant use" floor space. OKW doesn't have a "hallway" - at the other resorts you walk in and walk through a relatively narrow hallway that has the closet and kitchenette and bathroom along it (like pretty much any hotel room) - so that hallway space goes into the living areas - its a better use of the space.
