Nicest resort

I think the nicest WDW Resort is the one you are currently staying at. They are all nice.:)

Hmmm....nicest WDW property....I've stayed at quite a few and they all have something unique.

1. Polynesian - the grounds, and the magic of looking across at the Castle
2. Shades of Green before renovation - great onion rings at Evergreens! And huge rooms! Plus you are ON a golf course.
3. Coronado Springs - The Pepper Market, cute rooms and a pretty nice pool.
4. All Star Movies - Good theming and the only place I could get into one NYE.
5. Swan - love the newly done room decor and the great staff.
6. Dolphin - big, lots of good restaurants.
7. Boardwalk Villas - Can't beat that boardwalk view and the location!
8. Old Key West - at home feeling and nice rooms.
9. Beach Club Villas - location, location, location - nice public rooms, SAB, and cute rooms.

Resorts I still want to stay at:

Animal Kingdom Lodge
Caribbean Beach Resort
Fort Wilderness Cabins
Saratoga Springs

Next WDW trip resort:
Saratoga Springs in July :earsgirl:

With my home away from home Old Key West.::yes:: :wave2:

Shades of Green is my absolute favorite. Huge rooms and absolutely every amenity one could want.

::yes::

Gee whiz Studog, why don't you just ask us to pick our favorite child? - That would probably be easier!

The most "relaxing" would have to be the Poly. I could fall asleep just walking down the torch lit paths.

I believe Grand Floridian is the most expensive, if that is any measure of amenties, but I think there is a lot more to it than that. It's really a personal preference since each resort is individually themed. Additionally, there is no comparing a value resort to a deluxe, so you could ask what is the "best" resort in any particular category, which again is going to be personal preference. That said, I do think that the Polynesian is a favorite of many, along with BW, BC, and WL.

I am struggling with the question what is the "nicest" because that is really vague. Nicest rooms? Nicest amenities at the resort? And, since there are so many deluxe properties, many are tied on the issue of "nice" and it comes down to personal taste. For me, I would say the Beach Club (villas or resort). I really love the intimate feel of the lobby - I could sit down there all day. The location and the feel of the resort are just perfect.

To me, the most "amazing" resort is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I really wish DVC would build villas there with its own savannah.

I personally think the Grand Floridian is overrated for the price. Also, many love the Polynesian, but I think the place is kind of cheesy - a very "70's" feel to it. But that is completely a matter of personal taste.

I also happen to think that Coronado Springs and Port Orleans Riverside are very very "nice" - especially for the price, because right now with the Disney Visa discount you can get them for $89 per night. I would much rather pay $89 to stay there than $350 per night to stay at the Grand Floridian or Polynesian.

Throw VWL/WL, The Poly, and AKL, up in the air. Which ever one lands closest, is my pick of the day... :teeth:
