I had written last month about the dates of my trip 6/13- 6/20 falling between 2 discount codes. People on here gave me advice and told me to make 2 reservations and that way I would get both discounts which was very helpful.
Just wanted to pass along what happened when I called and spoke to a CM. The first time I called the man on the phone told me I couldnt split the reservation. I have no idea why. I did ask if I had a pin code attached to my name for the summer discount with the free hoppers- the one that would cover my dates. He said no.
I decided to do nothing at that point.
Called a few days later and a nice man told me I could split the reservation and I would save about 80 dollars or so but may have to move rooms. My DH said dont do it. We will be annoyed by having to move so I left it because my DH didnt want to do it.
I called back a few days later because that 80 dollars was bothering me and I was thinking what I could do with that money lol so I was going to bite the bullet and do the 2 reservations. I explained what I wanted to do and told her how I had wished I could have got the summer code and was previously told I didnt have one and that I wanted to split the reservation because I really could use the 80 dollars and I was dropping my park hopper. Things were just getting too pricey honestly and was looking to cut the price where I could.
She put me on hold to try to see where she could save me a little money best and came back on and told me Coronado Springs had no more standard rooms left only waterview for the second half of my reservation and would wind up costing me the same or a little more and would have to change rooms.
She then told me she could offer me the summer discount which would cover my dates and the free park hopper!!!
I couldnt thank her enough!!! I had really wanted the hoppers and was going to try to add them when I was there if I thought it was worth it but I wasnt sure if we could or would. I never got a pin for it through email or mail so I dont know how she did it unless there was one attached to my name and nobody really checked or maybe it was just added. Ive been to Disney many times and know they just cant do it. Im guessing it was just luck but I wanted to share with everyone and let them know to ask and you never know! I never expected that to happen but she truly helped me out! First time I have gotten a little pixie dust thrown my way!!
