Boring? Absolutely not! Restful, yes. We loved it-DH actually said he likes it better than WDW! But then, if you like golf, as he does (I mean, LOVES golf). My main recommendation is to rent the bikes-length of stay is only $25 per bike, a god deal. And if possible, rent the individual bikes, not the tandem things, only because I heard a lady at the front desk complaining about all the problems she had with her tandem bike.
Look in the water to the right as you face the main lodge in the morning about 8-9 o'clock. Lots of us have seen dolphins swimming around. And if you hear loud splashing there, look closely-that's probably the dolphins churning up fish to eat.
Be sure to partake in some of the activities. If you have children, we can't tell you from experience about the children's activites, but everyone seemed to have a good time. If you like collecting shells on the beach, don't miss the Beach Nature Walk with Bryan. He really makes it fun. And we really enjoyed the Secrets of the Marsh tour, and the "Behind the Ears" Tour. And we loved just sitting on our balcony and watching all the nature.
We had binoculars with us, may be a good idea-we had brought ours because we're bird watchers, but they may be useful to see Dolphins up close and when out on the fishing pier.
We ordered take out pizza one night that they deliver.
For us Mickey fanatics-I loved that Mickey woke me up every morning, just like at WDW, what a pleasant surprise to hear his voice! And it's fun to search for all the hidden mickeys around the resort.
So have fun and don't forget to post how you enjoyed it!
