Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Seiverville or Gatlinburg? We haven't been in 10 years and the last time we had a hard time finding a "clean" hotel room. We stayed at the Edgewater and Park ??? before but don't know how they are now.

In 2007 we stayed at the Resort at Governor's Crossing. It was very clean and well priced but we went in early May. My kids loved the water park and pool. We got a 2 bedroom condo with full kitchen and sleeper sofa in the living room. It was great for myself, my two kids, my mom and dad and sister. Poor DH had to work :rotfl2:

Best Western Zoder's in Gatlinburg! We just stayed there in March and it was lovely. All the rooms have balconies overlooking a babbling stream. It is an older motel but very clean and the price was really good when we went (I think we paid less than $100 per night, but it was off season.)

My sister is still raving about the Christmas Hotel in Gatlinburg that she and my boys stayed in over a year ago. They had a reservation at the waterpark hotel, Wilderness at the Smokies, but absolutely hated it and moved to the Christmas Hotel.

I have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Gatlinburg (August 2009) and it was very clean and within walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants.

If she stayed at The Christmas Inn it's in Pigeon Forge. Just be aware if anyone wants to stay in Gatlinburg most of the time stay in Gatlinburg. If PF stay in PF. The travel time between can be tedious with all the traffic during peak times.

I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Gatlinburg which was nice. Also, Park Tower Inn in Pigeon Forge was clean and no frills and cheap when we went.

Stay away from the River Place Inn. We just stayed there based on all the good reviews on Trip Advisor. It was filthy! Don't know what those other reviewers were talking about when they said it was so clean. Read my review for all the details.

I agree with the other poster about either staying in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge based on what activities you plan to be doing.

We stay at Carr's , can get a room with a small kitchen for less than 100 usually and on the creek. NOt the most updated in decor, but very clean , family owned , nice atmosphere, comfy beds.Walking distance to downtown area and on the trolley line. Been staying there since I was a child. There are cottages and hotel rooms all on same property. We usually stay in cottage.

Hotel rooms start around 50.00 I think depending on season.

We just got back from our PF/GBurg trip yesterday. I had posted the same question looking for a place to stay that was clean. I had a ressie at the Fairfield Inn in Gburg for $100/night, but wanted a bit cheaper. Went with the Red Roof inn (PF) because good friends of ours always stay there and it was $67/night. It was a clean hotel, but the breakfast was horrible and I like to count on a free breakfast. Disers recommended the Fairfield Inn and the Park Tower as the poster did above. We have also stayed at the Governers Crossing condos and they were very nice. Just no free breakfast, but with the horrible breakfast we had at RRI, we could have stayed at the GC again and had so much more room.
I also agree that you should stay where you will be most of the time. We tend to stay around PF more, so opted to do that.

Last July I spent 4 nights at the Park Vista hotel. It is up a steep winding road into the mountains and the views are amazing. It is in Gatlinburg and there is a trolly that will take you to town so you don't have to drive. The hotel is a bit older, the carpet was a bit stained but it wasn't terrible by any means. I had a king sized bed, loveseat, coffee table, desk, armoir with tv and the best park of the room was the view. It is a round hotel so the rooms are pie shaped and the outer is all floor to celing windows with a balcony. I was on the 9th floor, mountain view.

I was able to stay there for $50 a night via one of the coupon books you can pick up at rest areas or touristy places. I had only planned to stay 1 night and then move on but every morning when I woke up and looked out the window, I knew I wasn't ready to leave.

Both La Quinta Inns take dogs. If you aren't a dog fan like me, you'll want to avoid them.

I highly recommend the Econolodge Riverside. It is right between PF and Sevierville.

We just decided to go with RRI since it said online that it was a NEW hotel, I thought the added bonus was free breakfast. DH said he thought $84 a night was too much for a Red Roof Inn so we didn't book. We stayed at Park Vista 10 years ago and the view was nice, but the winding road was a pain. We did see bears there! We will spend time at both places so really don't care where we stay PF or Gburg.
