nice beach nearby?

We are staying right at DL, but want to spend at least one day at the ocean. Looking for a nice beach that is somewhat close, has rest rooms, lifeguards and if possible, rents umbrellas and floats. Any suggestions?

<font color=navy> I think the closest beach that meets that criteria (though I'm not sure about the umbrellas) is Newport Beach. Go to the link at the top of the board on other things to do in So Cal, and there's a link to some Newport Beach info.
