NiAGRA Falls - Canadian Side

We stayed at one of the Days Inn. I think it was Days Inn Near the Falls. It is just a block back from Clifton Hill and within walking distance to the falls. There is a free continental breakfast. The price was good too. There was also a pool.

We've stayed at quite a few of the hotels near Niagara Falls but most are more expensive and do not include breakfast.

I was just looking at Four Points by Sheraton Fallsview and they had rooms around $130. They have a AAA/CAA discount

Also looking for more info regarding the US side. We looked into doing NF Canada a year or more ago and after we added everything up, $$$$, it seemed a better deal to go to WDW!
So that's what we did in Sept, 2010.

I still want to see NF and take the kids, but I know it won't be the Canadian side, so if anyone would like to contribute more info, hotels, etc, for the US side, it would be greatly appreciated. :

We stayed at the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill last summer. It sits back from the main street, but it right by the Skywheel. All the stuff we needed was within walking distance. It wasn't newly decorated, but it was convenient, clean, and affordable. We were only there overnight, so we didn't spend alot of time there, but it worked for us!

What ever you do stay far ,far away from the 3 d sponge bob ride/pink panther ride, actually all the attractions from that owner. It's really,really outdated and yucky, and a huge waste of money and time

We were there last June and stayed at Embassy Suites. It is going to be a bit over your 100 buck goal, but it does have a fantastic breakfast and incredible views. The walk to Clifton Hill is not bad at all. We did it with my three young daughters to ride Maid of the Mist and then do some of the stuff on The Hill. If we go back....I would stay at Embassy Suites again. Well worth it. And there is a Tim Horton's not too far away either

We stayed here as well. I spent a lot of time looking for an inexpensive hotel and this one was perfect. We utilized the people mover thing to get around as well as walked to most everything. I highly recommend this hotel.

As for food, we also went up to the UFO restaurant. Drive north on Lundy Lane to save a little money.

We just want to do the maid of the mist, etc, we will not be doing any shopping or gambling. And we hope to have dinner at the Skylon. This will be in late June.

My advice is buy an adventure pass and just do all the activities included in there. You can do it in 2 full days. You will see all the main points of interest and it's the most economical way to do it.

If you want to go here get the hotel package with the waterpark package included or buy the waterpark tickets from CAA. They sell them for $26 where as they cost $50 at the door.

One yummy treat that is a must in the Falls is a Hershy chocolate shake, it's $5 but well worth it, the kids like their cupcakes and chocolate covered marshmallows. Eat away from the falls it money is an issue, there is a bunch of places to eat near the outlet mall( where you can buy body shop products discounted). We live only 15 mins away so we have rarely stayed at a hotel except for the hotels with a indoor waterpark.

You can definately do the Falls in 2 full days.
We arrived the Wednesday after Labor Day around noon and did the Canadian Side. We walked around the parks and just viewed everything.
I had a blast watching the people do Maids of the Mist from the Canada side. Definately bring binoculars. In the morning, we did the attractions on the Canadian side and we packed up and went to the NY side. The NY side, you have to pay a fee, because it is a State Park. I guess it evens itself out, because Canada makes you pay for parking and the U.S. makes you pay to get into their park. Canada does have a few spots along the parkways to park, but they get filled fast.

We stayed at the Sheraton Park View and paid $90. I don't know if we got the lower rate, because it was the first week in September. We also had a fire alarm go off at 1 in the morning and we had to walk down 14 flights of stairs. We got to the bottom and the fire trucks were leaving. We went across the street and stood in the gardens and no one told us to come back in or anything. Finally I had enough and walked in and went back to our room. My dh called down to the front desk and wanted an explanation. They couldn't give him any. About 30 minutes later, they made an announcement over a PA system, that you could return to your room.

US Side-I am right next to the river and further down is the Falls. The next picture is directly on the other side in Canada.
