We are going to Niagara falls 3/14-3/19 for a small vacation and a HOckey tourney in Welland...whole team is staying at the Clarion presidental suites hotel in NIagara - Anyone have thoughts on that hotel - and suggestions for what we should not miss with a 7 yr old hockey player along - we have 1/2 day tues and all day wed/thursday to do whatever...we do want to go to toronto for HHF and gretz rest......anything else you folks would like to add to help us out!!!!

Can't comment on the Hotel.........

But definately go to the HHF!

Traffic should be lighter in Toronto since it's March Break!

Be careful where you park in Toronto, better to pay then get a ticket or worse get towed!

Go up the CN Tower if it is a nice day. Sometimes you can see across the Lake to Niagara Falls.

My kids loved the plexiglass floor on the observation deck.

I think the Clarions OK. I get some of the hotels confused but I'm sure it'll be OK. You might want to check out Niagara on the Lake. It's kinda cool. It was the original capital of Upper Canada. A few nice shops and very 1812ish. Be sure to go for a meal or cocktail at the Angel Inn. Great food and nice ambience. Your 7 year old will love the the arcades on Clifton Hill. I live right outside the Falls and have shot videos for almost all the major hotels down there. If I can help with your trip give me a shout. PS, bring warm clothes. It gets really cold down at the Falls in the winter.

Thanks all for your input - We want to take in what we can without over doing it -especiallys since our son has the hockey tourney to deal with and that will be gruling. I will check out Niagra park and angel Inn. thanks.
When we are in toronto we will do what we can - can someone say if the
Cn tower and the HHF are close together that we would be able to park in one location??? We are also trying to score maple leaf tickets for 3/14 night it is a long shot but we will try!

Hi Melisazack C.N. Tower and HHF are very close together.Both are on Front Street. This is a major Street in T.O. I noticed that you mentioned Gretz's rest. It is also located just off Front Street. It is just up the street from the dome. The ACC is also very close. Find a parking spot off the Gardiner and leave the car and walk. Everything is very central. I park at the T.D. Center. This is located on Wellington Street. Take the Bay street North exit of the Gardiner Expressway. Turn left on Wellington. The Parking entrance is on your right hand side, just after you turn. $5.00 a night after 5:00 weekdays and all day weekends. Very close to everything downtown. Have a great time, let me know if you need any further information.

Sorry, just had to add, Lots to do in Niagara Falls that Weekend. Hotels sometimes have activities for kids. Check yours. T.O. will also be very busy.

I know it sounds touristee, BUT my ds6 and ds8 enjoyed maid of the mist, behind the falls, cable car and butterfly conservatory. There is some pkg deal where you get admission to all these. If your out and about in the city they had some indoor, flouresant mini golf thing- very cool for a group!
