Can anyone help me with suggestions on a hotel on the Canadian side of the falls? My parents are planning a trip in May of this year. They're in their 70's, still very active, but I think they'd probably want to stay in close proximity to the "action." I've never been there yet and need whatever advice you can give.

Thank you!!:wave2:

There are quite a few good places to stay I believe the site to check out is

www.niagaratourism.com

We have stayed at the Radisson which is nice. There is also the Sheraton which is right in the heart of the action.

Anybody else chime in!

We stayed at this "motel/hotel" last year. Not much to look at from the outside, (mind you we stayed there in the winter, so everything looked dreary) it's old style, only a few stories high, but it is right in the heart of the action. They have a nice indoor atrium with pool and hot tub and a wonderful all inclusive breakfast buffet. Within walking distance to many restaurants/the falls and the casino.

We also have stayed at the Comfort Inn - Clifton Hill.

It was a nice enough place to stay. Right in the middle of all of the "glitz and glamour" of the strip of tourist attractions.

Close enough to walk to the falls and the casino. If they stay there make sure they ask how to get to the casino because there is a short cut that saves you a lot of walking.

The breakfast there is really nice as The House of Mouse says.

If looking for high end/luxury and the best overall location perched right over the falls...look no further than the NF Marriott Fallsview....stunning lobby, every room a view of the falls, restaurant top-notch, and they offer very interesting 2-night packages and have family suites (1 & 2-bedroom) etc...

The first time I stayed, I arrived at 10 pm or so, walked into a room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a drop-dead view of the falls (all rooms have this)....with the lights on the falls it was a magical, dare-I-say Disney-like experience!

For 13 years I have been a Marriott "Platinum" (very frequent stayer) and I consider this hotel to be in the top 20 of that chain!
By the way, Canada has 2 other absolutely stunning Marriott properties...the Eaton Center Marriott in Toronto and the new spectacular Vancouver Pinnacle Marriott...love em to no end!

Hope this helps!
