I'm at that Wall


I've been at that wall for awhile. It started when I realized that I was spending to much money and time with pins instead of my family. I still love this hobby and I still buy and trade pins. But I have slowed down alot.

It is also been hard after awhile since I'm near a pin cart every single day and at the cm side of trading pins while trying to ring up guest at the same time or stock. And stocking the cart, trying to inventory and keep track of new releases and keep updated for all of you and new collectors to come.

THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT. DON'T RESPOND TO IT BECAUSE IT'S NOT AGAINEST ANYONE OR THING PLEASE. I LOVE PIN TRADING AND EVERYTHING ABOUT IT INCLUDING THE GUEST INTERACTION. AND ALL OF YOU I HAVE MET IN THE PROCESS.

This is just where I hit the wall in pintrading.

I have been working on framing pins with photos. Couple examples:

We have this terrific panorama shot of our kids at the entrance to Animal Kingdom. I have about 8 favorite AK pins to put in the matte with the photo.

I have a group of character meeting photos from my daughter's first WDW visit. I have the "My first visit" pin and matching character pins to go with the photos.

Here's the problem: It takes lots of time to find the right matte to work with the photos and pins. Scrapbook mattes come in many more varieties. Also, I think it's not always the best way to see the photo and pin clearly.

So, Darlene, how do you do this? Can we do a "workshop" at the next meet?

I am not sure how it would be done - yes we do need a pin scapbooking workshop - that would be a great idea.
