Hello everybody! This is my first attempt at a live trip report so please bare with me! I've promised not to spend "too much" time online during this vacation so we'll just have to see how I manage this!

We left Manchester, NH this morning on a 7:40am non stop flight. We were on the ME bus by 11:14 and rolling out of the airport at 11:20.:drive:

After stopping at Riverside, Boardwalk, Yacht, we FINALLY arrived at the Beach Club at 12:02. I say "finally" in a sarcastic tone because I wouldn't dare complain about less than an hour travel time from airport to resort.

We did have a hiccup checking in because the CL CM insisted that we were staying until the 31st. It took them five phone calls and almost 40 minutes to correct the error. They were really nice about it but I still felt like it was excessive. We eventually got our gold keys and then headed down to The health club to change for the pool - this was necessary because our room was not yet ready.

After a GLORIOUS experience with SAB, we dressed and walked over to Beaches and Cream for lunch. We waited for about 5 minutes and then were shown to seats at the counter. We found the food to be pretty good (7/10) but we really disappointed by the service. It wasn't horrible but more typical of a mall diner than something at Disney.

After lunch we learned our room was ready and we went to check it out. Our room has a full balcony :cool1: and two queen beds. Is very clean and we're very happy,

We decided to run over to the MK and get this party started! Although we thought it was pretty crowded, we did manage to do a bunch before we lost our steam! We rode Splash, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and my DH and DD9 rode Barnstormer. BTW, I know the bus discussion has been ongoing lately but I have to say we had zero issues to and from MK. I hope our luck continues!!!

We decided we'd had enough - early morning flights can certainly get to you! We picked up a quick dinner in the BC Marketplace and ate in the CL lounge. Afterwards we threw on our swimsuits and went for another swim in SAB!

Absolutely perfect day - couldn't have asked for a better start to roar first ever Disney Summer Vacation!!:banana::banana:

Feel free to ask questions and I'll do what I can to answer!
Now we are all tucked in bed... DH and DD are out cold and it's my turn to get a visit from Mr. Sandman!

It's HOT!!!! But we've had a pretty hot summer in New England. I think the difference is that we are out and walking around in it rather than hiding in the air conditioning! :)

HI :wave2: Glad to hear about how wonderful your first day was!

Another NHite here. I'm just a few exits north of you on 93!!!::yes::
30 days from today I'll be flying out of Manchester on that same flight!
We got our Mickey mail yesterday :hyper:

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your vacation.
Have fun!!!!!!!

Excellent start so far!!! Really great and helpful details!

That sounds like a really, really nice arrival day.

Enjoy yourselves today! Check in when you can, but mostly focus on having fun and not getting into trouble with your family!!!

:)

PS- although I live in Mass, I am a NH girl at heart! My DH and I both grew up in Dover and we still have lots of family back there.

Subbing too. Wait times would be great. We're coming down in 7 days, and have never been this time of year. Excited about shorter than July lines!

Thanks for posting live! Makes me feel like my trip has been extended a little. :)

Good Morning from Disney's Hollywood Studios!

We had a quick breakfast in the CL lounge. The offerings are pretty basic but definitely did the job of filling our tummies!

We walked over to the boat dock and waited a full 3 minutes for the boat to arrive! Imagine the horror! ;) The boat bypassed the Swalphin because they already had a boat at their dock.

We missed rope drop but did get to the Studios at about 15 minutes after opening. We've never made it on Toy Story Mania so my DH ran to pull FPs (12:35pm) while my DD and I walked to RNRC.

RNRC was closed so we waited for my DH and headed over to ToT. My DD is afraid of this ride so I went on alone while they waited. The posted wait was 10 min but I calculated it at 12 min from entrance to loading into the elevator. I LOVE this ride and it did not disappoint!!

We are arrving on August 31, so I am following you along. I was hoping for lighter crowds and even at 9:15 am you still pulled FPS at 12:35 for TSM? How are the crowds in general?

We stayed at the BC in March and loved SAB. Can't wait to go back to BC but our next few trips are booked at BLT>

After I was done, we decided to head over to The Great Movie Ride. The wait was posted as 20 min and we waited about that time. We remembered to ask for the "cowboy" version and were told we could definitely wait for it but it was running on every fifth vehicle. We were prepared to wait but luck was on our side and we took the last 3 seats on the vehicle and were off like a shot! After all of our trips, this was the first time we'd seen this version and it was very cool!

Afterwards we headed to Indiana Jones but didn't want to wait nearly an hour for it to start. We walked over to Star Tours and waited no more than 5 min before loading. My DH and DD love Star Wars and all three of us live the ride! Afterwards they made droids and were thrilled with their creations!

We made our way back to Indiana Jones and found it was standing room only. Oops! So we set off towards the Backlot Tour via the Sci Fi. I snuck in to see what the wait was and found out they had a table (not a car though) in about 5 min. We took it happily and were pleasantly surprised when moments later they led us to our car!!! My DD and DH are sharing the ribeye steak and I ordered the turkey sandwich with regular mayo.

Speaking of which, the food just arrived so it's time to go!!

Yup. He pulled the FP at 9:28am. It is definitely busy here today. It's manageable but feels busier than we are used to during our favorite time - early December. It's also much warmer but we are dealing well with that and there is thankfully a good breeze.

Sounds like a great start to your day. Thank you for bringing us along, a month from today we will be checking into Beach Club for our first visit. Have fun and sending wishes and pixie dust for great weather.

It is SO stinking hot!!

DD and I decided to head back to the hotel for a nap and a swim in SAB.

My DH decided he didn't want to "waste" time back at the hotel so he said to explore DHS solo.

Our plan, as it stands now, is to meet up with him later tonight and check out some other stuff and Fantasmic. Here's hoping its cooler!

So when we checked in the CL asked when we would like our room cleaned. I chose 10 so that we'd definitely be out of our room by then and it would be done by our midday nap.

It's minutes before 3pm and mousekeeping is in my room. I know it's not major but I really need to use the bathroom and need a nap!
