New season, new thread. I am hopeful that my Raiders can be better this season, maybe even a playoff darkhorse! Also hope we destroy the Broncos and there Rookie "Friar Tuck" QB.

Go Dolphins

I am so excited that it is football season!!!!!!! I have been counting down the days!

GO PANTHERS!!!!!

I am afraid we may be in for a rough season. Our team got rid of many veterans so we are relying on mostly young, less experienced players. It might pay off in the long run, a few seasons down the road, but we will have to go through a few building years to get there. I might be surprised, though. They might just show me I am wrong.
I am a die hard fan, though. I can't wait to go to the games and cheer them on! I look forward to watching our new guys, seeing them develop.

I'm Canadian and I will take the NFL over our CFL any day. I can't wait for the season to start. I'm a Jets girl so we'll see how it goes this season :thumbsup2

Can't wait!! Love my Green Bay Packers!!! We were at the Packer annual scrimmage (Packers Family Night) on Saturday night. What an awesome time!! They do the whole pomp and circumstance of a game. Tickets are $10, and they have stuff going all day long. They give away game worn jerseys from the scrimmage, and end the night with an AWESOME fireworks display. Now I am so ready for the season!!!

You come to our house first in October. I think the Broncos can easily handle the Raiders :goodvibes

That is a horrible haircut. But I give him credit that he laughs about his Rookie haircut given to him by his teammates.

Yes, I do respect him for how he is handling it. I am a Tebow fan. I think he is a great player and a great guy!

ETA: I had hoped we would be able to get him in the draft, but we got Clausen instead.

You are in good company. His jersey is the hottest selling rookie jersey in all of NFL history and that can't all be Denver fans.

Die hard Broncos fan here.

First of all, after not winning more than 5 games in any one season over the past 6 years, being "better" shouldn't be that difficult. I mean, 6-10 would be better right?

Second, Timmy Rah-Rah won't be seeing too much time under center, so you'll have to be satisfied chasing Orton around. He's not too hard to catch though. I don't think Kyle is ever gonna remind anyone of Steve Young with his mobility.

Good Luck with your Raiders this season. Not really. ;)

I have to say, I am worried about this season. The boy wonder we have for a head coach hasn't impressed me yet.

Either way, GO BRONCOS!!

I'm hoping for 7-9 at the worst. I mean we had JaMarcus last season... Campbell is AT LEAST 3 wins better tha n JaMarcus. So 8-8 isn't out of the question. Plus McFadden and Bush the backfield where they won't have 9 in the box and a decent QB... I have high hopes for the season, 8-8 is def. not out of the question.

Tebow? handling it well? He's a ROOKIE! all Rooks get that. I can't wait til he tries to run against a big NFL LB and just gets welcomed to the NFL.

Yes, all rookies get treated to things like that. However, yes, he is handling it well. He could have reacted the way that Dez Bryant did. Now his reaction to rookie treatment was an example of not handling it well!

E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!

No clue how Philly is going to do this year. I'm hoping for a winning season, or at least to come in higher than the Redskins.

As much as it pains me to say, I honestly do think you guys will be better this year.

I'm worried to death about the Broncos. They just seem like a total mess right now.

We've got no healthy running backs, we traded Marshall, and he was our only deep threat at WR, looks like we have lost Dumerville for the season, and Coach McDaniels--aka The Boy Blunder-- does nothing to instill any confidence in me.

May be a long season at Mile High.

Either way, football is almost here, so all is right in the world!

I can't wait either, and I have no idea how my Pats will do, but I think not so hot.

Is it blasphemy to say I wish Brady had gone and we'd kept Cassell last year? Sigh......we'll see how it goes but I think it must be hard for Brady to play well when he can't fit his big ole head in his helmet! and now that he has no protection.....ouch!

All that said, I still think we'll win the division and make a play-off run, but probably get as far we did last year!

You just summed up my concerns very succinctly. I think we win 7 games. Boy Blunder isn't all that and a bag of chips....

Eh, Cassell wasn't the savior of the Chiefs, so be glad he's gone.

I love football and am so glad it's back!

Looking forward to seeing the Broncos - with Tebow on the bench, of course - melting away in the heat to a sad defeat on opening day. He's a hometown here, though, so we'll still be nice to him. Maybe a free towel to cry into afterwards or something.

(Seriously, though, I feel for the Broncos and all of their injuries right now - we've had seasons where we lost a ton of starters like that - it isn't fun.)

Go Jaguars.
