My best guess for the playoffs right now:
Steelers will take out the Broncos. Sorry but Tebow just doesn't have it in him to deal with an AFC North defense. There's a reason 3 out of 4 teams are in the playoffs from that division this year. It is the toughest in the league and has been for years. Even injured, Steelers are brutal.
The way Houston played this weekend does not inspire confidence. Marvin Lewis' Bengals are a tough team this year. They've lost to division rivals only in hard fought contests and they are hungry for respect.
Patriots have a good chance if they face the Bengals in Week 2. As much as I respect what Marvin's done, Bengals are virgins at the playoff season. They might surprise, but Tom Brady has so many tricks in his arsenal.
Now if the Pats face the Steelers or Ravens they are one and done. Sorry, but both those teams massacre Patriots on Defense.
Only ones I'm truly impressed with in the NFC are the 49ers and Packers. I'm hoping the 49ers make it just because I'd love to see them in the Superbowl. I have no interest in Packers.
What I'd love to see is Houston beat Cinci and Pittsburgh beat Denver next week. That way the Ravens have a shot at home field advantage through the playoffs. Steelers go knock off Patriots then come to M&T for the Championship. (As a Ravens fan I'd so love to repeat last year's championship game but in OUR house with OUR rules.) Then I'd dearly love to see the Ravens vs. 49ers for the SB. Having Harbough vs Harbough would make for great television like Thanksgiving. Gives it that emotional edge to make the game more interesting. (Also wouldn't mind seeing the Ravens win another ring in Indianapolis... just to exorcise the last of those old demons.)
Either way, it'll be an interesting playoff season. My whole family is jazzed about it, including the kids. Best way to spend January is in Festivus Maximus.
Good luck to everyone with a team in the hunt. Let's hope, no matter what, no one gets seriously injured. (And the Refs aren't suddenly struck blind and stupid.)
Sorry NE and Baltimore fans, nothing personal, you know its just something you're born into.
For the past 9 seasons the AFC Champion has been either the Patriots, Steelers or Colts.
Stick with what you know until proven otherwise. I am going with the Patriots.
In the NFC a different team has represented the conference the last 9 years. That knocks out the Packers, Saints, Giants. So between the 49ers, Falcons and Lions, I am going with the Falcons.
Patriots vs. Falcons!
Go Pats!!!!
My prediction...
Patriots vs Falcons in the Bowl
IMHO the only team that could get in the way of The Pats in the AFC would be the Steelers, that is of course if Big Ben is healthy. When Roethlisberger is healthy the Steelers are the most balanced team in the AFC.

Once again the Giants are peaking at the right time!![]()
I have just 1 question, where does the next one go?
![]()

Go Giants!
I bleed Giant Blue! Any given Sunday..... Go Big BLue!
Go G-Men!
...OMG, how adorable!
. When I first saw them I was like WTH??? But now I LOVE it!

We're rooting for the Giants...for a really pathetic reason actually. LOL
One of my very close friends is the sister of Giants rookie Tyler Sash...so we're now "fans".![]()
Sadly...if he should ever get traded, we'll be "fans" of that team as well.![]()
Understandable...Don't tell DH......................................But.....I prefer Peyton over Eli anyday.

Also would like to see the Broncos do well because of Tebow![]()

This is a great perspective.
I worry about the Steelers this week. Mendenhall is out for the season. Now our best corner isn't playing because of his sickle cell trait and the high altitude in Denver.
I'd like to think that if the Steelers and Ravens meet again , we will not lose the 3rd time.
Depends on which Steeler team shows up. When Ben and our defense is on, the Steelers are unstoppable , like when we played the Pats during the regular season.
An all Black and Gold superbowl would be great, especially if the orginal black and gold team came up with the win.
Of course I want the Steelers to win, but as long as its not the Pats or Ravens thats good too.Sorry NE and Baltimore fans, nothing personal, you know its just something you're born into.

I feel the same way. I am worried they will not make it past the first game, but I will cheer for them anyway.
I also love the Packers. I am a huge Aaron Rodgers fan! I admire his football skill, but I also admire the way he handled the whole Brett Favre diva fiasco.....playing, not playing, playing, not playing. Aaron Rodgers handled it with class. I am a huge Matt Flynn fan, too, because I am an LSU Tigers fan. So I love the Packers.
The problem is I love the Saints too. I will be somehow cheering for both teams. Really, I will be thrilled if either of those two teams makes it to the Super Bowl.
Might I add that maybe next season I will be able to talk about my Panthers being in the playoffs.![]()
