Go Stillers!!

Me too! Also would like to see the Broncos do well because of Tebow
but our D doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence. Then again, they have been playing a little better. And the bye gives Tom's shoulder a chance to heal, thank goodness!...who wasn't?[

Me too!
Hopefully my patriots aren't one and done again this yearbut our D doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence. Then again, they have been playing a little better. And the bye gives Tom's shoulder a chance to heal, thank goodness!

I think the Patriots will make it to the Super Bowl! Their offense is the best in the AFC and no other team is that great. The Steelers and the Ravens are the only teams that might challenge them, but I still think the Pats should make it with relative ease.
I agree --- GO PATS!!!SAINTS!!!!! We will add another ring to the collection this year! My nephews 1st birthday party is at 1 and the game is at 7! PERFECTION!!!!!
Any Saints fans.... youtube 2011 New Orleans Saints Playoffs Promo: Hold Your Breath. I had tears. I know it's pitiful, but oh my gosh!
And as for Mr. Shockey... I do miss him. He was wonderful as a Saint. He may have a slight bit of 'tude working with the Panthers now, but yesterday wasn't nearly as bad as the first time we played him this year. I LOVE the pic of him w/ Jimmy Graham after the game yesterday. Hey..hey hey hey.. hey Shockey Way!!! I have my shirt from the superbowl game with his name on it. Will keep it and take it to the grave with me =)
My heart Belongs to Brees, Colston, Thomas, Graham, SPROLES ROLLS, and pretty much everyone on the team =) Oh yea, and Coach Peyton =)
GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!! Black and Gold to the superbowl (AGAIN!)
Here we go, Steelers, Here we go, Pittsburgh's going to he Superbowl.
My best guess for the playoffs right now:
Steelers will take out the Broncos. Sorry but Tebow just doesn't have it in him to deal with an AFC North defense. There's a reason 3 out of 4 teams are in the playoffs from that division this year. It is the toughest in the league and has been for years. Even injured, Steelers are brutal.
The way Houston played this weekend does not inspire confidence. Marvin Lewis' Bengals are a tough team this year. They've lost to division rivals only in hard fought contests and they are hungry for respect.
Patriots have a good chance if they face the Bengals in Week 2. As much as I respect what Marvin's done, Bengals are virgins at the playoff season. They might surprise, but Tom Brady has so many tricks in his arsenal.
Now if the Pats face the Steelers or Ravens they are one and done. Sorry, but both those teams massacre Patriots on Defense.
Only ones I'm truly impressed with in the NFC are the 49ers and Packers. I'm hoping the 49ers make it just because I'd love to see them in the Superbowl. I have no interest in Packers.
What I'd love to see is Houston beat Cinci and Pittsburgh beat Denver next week. That way the Ravens have a shot at home field advantage through the playoffs. Steelers go knock off Patriots then come to M&T for the Championship. (As a Ravens fan I'd so love to repeat last year's championship game but in OUR house with OUR rules.) Then I'd dearly love to see the Ravens vs. 49ers for the SB. Having Harbough vs Harbough would make for great television like Thanksgiving. Gives it that emotional edge to make the game more interesting. (Also wouldn't mind seeing the Ravens win another ring in Indianapolis... just to exorcise the last of those old demons.)
Either way, it'll be an interesting playoff season. My whole family is jazzed about it, including the kids. Best way to spend January is in Festivus Maximus.
Good luck to everyone with a team in the hunt. Let's hope, no matter what, no one gets seriously injured. (And the Refs aren't suddenly struck blind and stupid.)
This looks pretty good.
Friso GB seems to be a dichotomy game to me. They are 1 dimensional teams. Who wins, GB offense, or SF defense?
This would be the same if Ravens play the Pats. Who wins? Raven defense or Pats offense.
I dont think Cincy has much of a chance. If they have to face Pitt or Balt again, their over. Houston is without too much. A good run defense (Say bengals) and their done.
All that said, I think the Saints are the NFC team to beat. They have an incredible offense, and I think they have "just enough" defense. Additionally, they are the "Hot Team" (see GB last year) at the moment, and hot teams are the ones to bet on.
If I had to pick 2 teams, I would say a Saints vs Steelers. IMHO, these are the 2 teams who have enough balance on both Offense and Defense to ride the playoffs. I personally believe Ben's ankle will be well enough.
Historically powerful defenses beat powerful offenses if the defensive team have a good ball control offense. If they don't, then eventually the defense tires and the offense wins.
