Next trip more than a year away??

Anyone else out there just drooling at all the people whose trips are coming up within a few months!! My next trip isn't until May 2006!

What do I do until then! How is everyone else making it through if there next Disney fix to way in the future?

We have decided that we won't travel this year because we are working on fixing up our house.

That means no Disney til 2006, probably April or May!

I am hoping that we will be able to go to WDW in late April through early May 2006. If all else fails, we will definitely do DL.

Either way, I will impatiently wait and read the boards and my UOG and then sign up for Tour Guide Mike as soon as I have the dates set.

Of time to plan and that is good,you should have a great time with little hassle with that amount of time to plan.

Us too, we can't afford it this year so our plan is to go to WDW in 2006, probably September as that's tradition for our group. It's killing me watching all the adverts on TV and all the travel agents have such cheap looking deals in the windows. I feel I might give in and end up in DLP before the year is out! NYE there this year was such a bust for me as I got sick and I want to experience DLP without constantly feeling ill. Had two days in the parks over NYE, got ill 9.30am on the first day, couldn't believe it!

We go every other year, so I quench my WDW desires by reading the boards and the trip reports on Mouseplanet. I will get a small fix in November when we go to DL for 4 days.

My counter is pathetic, but we did go alittle overboard with 4 Disney trips this year. I do admit to trying to squeeze in a vacation before July 2006, there's just no way it's going to work with our schedules. Well, that reason and I'd also like to do some work around the house this year. It's killing me, but we're going to have so much to look forward to with the new rides and maybe some renovations. Plus, I'm secretly hoping they work out some better options for the new magic my way tickets. We're looking at an extended stay, possibly up to 10 days and the ticket pricing is a real "gotcha". The 7 day park hoppers cost as much as the 10 days, but who knows if we're going to want to go into parks on all 10 days, now you've got to pay more so they don't expire on you. I know it's a business, but I gotta hope they come up with something better.

Until then, I'll live vicariously through everyone else.

Feeling the pain...we can't afford to go this year either. Our next trip will not be until December 2006! But it WILL be a great one...whole family (12 of us) will spend Christmas together there! Until then, I live out my obsession on the boards and gathering ideas for the big trip!

My next trip is February 2006. Just keep dreaming. It will be here before you know it. Look at it this way, at least we have something to look forward to. Some don't.

I have felt that pain. From 2003/2004--a long year and a half!! so I thought. . .I bought DVC at SSR and took my normal room money for my down payment, amd then I learned that I could not go until June 7, 2004. But it was worth it!! An I have made up for it!!

I tried to talk DH into a trip early May before our AP's expire. He's not going for it. Says he thinks we should wait till next May 2006. With air @ $ 213rt x 4 tickets and ap's in our hand plus the fact that I'm willing to stay value/moderate it seems to me like a great deal.......WOW May of 2006 seem like a life time away.

Almost had dh in agreement to go back this year but he feels we will get "Disney'ed out". AS IF...
So we'll spend a few days at Hershey Park (no comparison) and wait until 2006. Gotta get back b4 dd turns 3!!
In the meantime, I am still a regular DIS'er. I can live vicariously thru the rest of you! And if I listen to mouseworldradio & close my eyes really tight I can imagine I am there!!!

We were planning our next trip on our way back home. We are hooked! My husband said it was too soon for him to go back, but said that if my daughter and I wanted a "girly" trip, we could take one.

Last trip November '99. Spent close to $4,000 and almost the whole trip in the room due to wife and kids all sick with allergies. Everytime we plan a trip, something comes up. So, now we are planning for Oct./Nov. '08. Twins will be 5 by then. Come hell or high water, we are going!

Yeah, we're not planning on going again until Jan. 2007. This time was selected because Expedition Everest should CERTAINLY be running..............and we will hit value season (=small crowds and smaller prices on Disney resorts). I really can't believe that we are going to wait THIS long to go again.............but.................at least there is a time set. One day, I hope to have a disposable income and some serious vacation time......all things to hope for. On the bright side (kinda) my ticker just went below the 700 days mark!!!!!!
