Currently DCL has rescheduled Fantasy sailings from 7 nights down to 4 nights for sailings up through October 2. Does anyone know if they are planning on doing this for the next handful of October sailings and if so when they might announce it?

DCL doesn't know what they are doing. Any of us are just guessing too.

Pretty much. If they are still sailing. Even that is in question now.

How is disney still sailing in question? I think the only question is if they are going back to regular 7 night sailings or sticking with the 4 night Bahamas only sailings. We sail October 16th on the fantasy. I have zero doubt we are sailing. Just don’t know where we are going and how long we get to be on the ship.

We sailed 2 cruises on the dream last month. Felt totally normal and safe.

I would like to see a pinned post about sailing changes. One for the island/port changes and another for reduced days from 7 to 4. It’ll be much less confusing if we could see the trends of what they’re doing to accommodate the virus that affects our itineraries.

I sure hope they let us know soon. We don't want a 4 night. We have air and hotels booked thinking it would be 7 nights. A lot of money involved. 8 people, 3 cabins.

Why do you say that?
Well, things outside the cruise industry as far as the pandemic are as bad now or worse than when cruising stopped last year. I think that's why port restrictions have gotten so strict in recent weeks. Or in the case of some ports like Santa Barbara, just told ships don't come. I think at the very least a pause is coming very soon.

Not where we live. Everything is totally back to normal. Even the fox theater is finally opened back up with no restrictions. Last thing around here to get back to business as normal.

disagree. youll see the Increased testing and the port adjustments/length adjustments but you won’t see it stop.

cruiselines have figured out how to make it safe enough under the circumstances AND their guests agree so it’s working.

I agree the cruise lines are working hard to stay open. That isn't the problem. The ports, however, are making it difficult. No reason to cruise if there are no ports to go to.

I have no inside information, just my opinion. I really believe that we will see more 4/3 night sailings of the Fantasy at least through October. We're supposed to sail on Oct 9th for 7 nights through the western Caribbean but we are actually making plans just in case this sailing gets changed. Personally, we would love to see a 4 night, then a 3 night just going to sea and Castaway Cay.

All the Wonder sailings longer than 4N have been reduced to 4N, with the exception of the EBPC. These are through October, so I could see this being the case for the Fantasy through October. We have been moved to a 4N, from a 7N. The 7N was changed to a 4N and a 3N. We will try to book the 3N for a B2B.

Or lots more restrictions in 10 days to 14 days if there is a post Labor Day spike.

I truly do not understand why you always talk of lockdowns and restrictions. Yes, there may be a Labor Day spike. Governors will deal with the new infections and life will go on. Covid is here to stay and we all just have to adjust.

Cruise lines will adjust to the new normal and all who wish to sail again will be able to. I highly recommend sailing right now. The small number of passengers on board was awesome.

We sail October 16th on the 8 night fantasy. I am hoping that it sails as advertised. If not, we will roll with the punches and take a shorter cruise on the fantasy.

We're on the Oct. 9 sailing too.......but do not want to do a 4 night.
We come from AZ. and we have 2 first time cruisers and 4 first time Disney cruisers. Plane for 8 and hotels before and after.
I just hope we hear something soon.

Just got an email this morning about our 11/28 cruise...nothing about changing to 4-night, but it looks like they've extended the vaccine and port testing requirements at least through November.

I received an email from DCL today regarding our November, five night cruise. Still scheduled for 5 nights.

I think the rubber hits the road for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year cruises. They are significantly more expensive and if they chose to sail the first 4 nights, you miss all of the holidays. Even if they sail with only 12 and up, they will keep passengers and make money (since the cruise fare is already inflated).

We are B2B Christmas/New Year on the Fantasy and I would cancel rather than sail 2 overpriced 4-night cruises with scarce and expensive holiday resort in between. We would try to book on Celebrity for the same timeframe.

I got the same email for our Dec 5th 7 night...so they've at least extended the vaccination/testing requirements into December.
