Unless DCL combined the Hawaii leg with the Panama Canal leg, or home ported in Ensenada for the one way Hawaii cruise, it legally can't be done.

Wouldn't it be the same as they did this year in September, Vancouver to Hawaii and then Hawaii to Vancouver before their first Alaska sailing?

Well, yes, if they went all the way to Vancouver before doing the Hawaii cruises, they could do that. I was thinking you meant, once the Wonder got on the west coast (after the Panama Canal), doing the one way before heading up to Vancouver.

We got a really nice discount on hawaii. i surprised how empty the ship was and there were no public discounts. In fairness to Disney they usually offer gt rates before other discounts. This was kind of strange.

I'm hoping Southern Caribbean will be offered again January 2017!!

I just like the fact that its somewhere I haven't been on a cruise :) I am tired of doing the same ports in the Caribbean and Bahamas. I think there is also some neat history there. Who knows, may be horrible - no one (American) has really been there yet :)

I would like a ship based in California. The flight to Florida prices us out of most of their cruises, but we're going on our 5th cruise out of a So Cal port this week, 6th overall. I would do the a Mexico cruise every year if they had them during school breaks. I have a kid in high school, so I can't take them out anymore. As soon as that kid is done with HS, the next one will be in, so we won't be able to go for a while unless it's a summer or break cruise from somewhere in CA.

I loved the CA Coastal Pixar cruise we did in 2012. The CA ones didn't sell so well, but I saw literally zero advertising for it in LA. I've seen advertising for the Florida cruises plenty, but nothing for CA, and nobody I talked to had heard that the ship was in LA during that time.

Some new ports would be nice, and also I'd love a 7-nt on the Fantasy that's a CC double-dip with the new ports in between. How about something like this...

1. Port Canaveral
2. Castaway Cay
3. Sea Day
4. Grant Turk
5. Dominican Republic (I believe the new port will be completed soon)
6. Sea Day
7. Castaway Cay
8. Port Canaveral

Yes to everything you said!

For us to stay in budget, we would only be able to do a 3 day cruise out of FL. We might do that eventually, just to get on a different ship, but for now, we're looking at our 3rd cruise (coming up next year) out of the West Coast. I know we're in the minority, but we could care less where the ship goes, we just want to be on it (and for at least 7 days at a time). So Canada, Alaska, West Coast, Mexico- it doesn't matter to us :-)

And yes, I agree, not enough people knew about the LA port option or even the Seattle one! They really need to give the marketing a full effort before deciding that it doesn't work. Also, I really don't get why they don't do a combo deal where you go to DL for 2-3 days and then a cruise for 3-4 days? Yes, people can coordinate this on their own, but I think a combo that they arrange would be a *great* way to get people who haven't yet done DCL to try it out. Plus, I'm sure some people would do that and then end up doing the cruises out of FL... in other words, West Coast Wonder cruises are like a "gateway" DCL experience :-) (Again, for our family, that's not the case yet, but I can see a scenario down the road where we just really wanna be on a different ship so badly that we decide to postpone our more frequent trips to be able to afford a 5-7 cruise out of FL).

TWO days on CC without doing a back to back!! LOVE this

I keep hoping for more West Coast trips too. We loved the Pacific Coast cruise (with the overnight in San Francisco) and would do that one again in a heartbeat. I would do Mexican Riviera again too (we are doing the Baja cruise plus cruise to nowhere B2B, but would have preferred a 7-night MR cruise instead). I also think they would make a killing on shorter 3 and 4 night cruises (Catalina, Ensenada) if they would advertise them and market them in conjunction with a DLR stay.

I would do that several times per year.

That sounds nice (the DL/cruise combo), but for those of us on the west coast, the Baja/Ensenada/Catalina cruises get a little old after the 3 or 4th time you've been there.

I really don't understand why cruise lines can't do Pacific Coastal cruises more often. There are plenty of ports north from LA. Maybe even cruises that go further south than Puerto Vallarta? Yes, they'd be longer cruises, but there are people here that would book them.

Maybe when Disney builds more ships they could station one in the summer to do Mexican cruises from SoCal. There are some ports they currently do I would like to go to but like those who don't want to fly east I really don't want to fly west for a 3/4 night cruise. If they did a week long down the Mexican coast I would make the trip.
