Next move, back to BWV

I'm nearly midway in my 29 night DVC stay. I'm missing my DSis, but she is getting better, and we chat every day. Today I move back to BWV, her favorite, but on Saturday I have a DF coming for just one night. She and I will be spending nearly a week in Vero, she's not a park person. DF, Faye, won't want to go to a park, and she asked if you can see fireworks from outside Epcot. I really don't know if it's worthwhile to walk over, where?....to the bridge that you go on as you leave the Boardwalk? It would have been better to stay here at BLT, seeing wishes from the deck upstairs is so nice!

29 nights so jealous!!!! My DD is at BW right now moving over to BLT on Thursday for 4 nights, what a great combo. Two of my DD's have stayed at BWV and I still have not! I am afraid I will want points there and do split stays most trips (we usually go for 10 nights) Enjoy your stay. btw how was your NYE cruise? Do they do that at MK thinking about looking into that next NYE if I can get my ressie at BLT. Hope Dsis gets better.

The NYE cruise was wonderful! There was a surprise as Jiminy popped the question to his girlfriend, and she said yes!

I was thinking how wonderful it would be to watch the NYE fireworks from the top of BLT! If you can get that, it would be great! My DH would kill me for sure if I began thing of buying BLT points! He just e-mailed me that his car is acting up!

I think you get a pretty good view of the fireworks from that bridge. But I don't know how well the sound will carry to that location. If nothing else, it makes for a nice walk along Crescent Lake.

I'm checked in now, room was ready around noon. I have a near elevator room! as I did at BLT! Things are looking up for me as far as requests go.

I have a dedicated studio which does not have the deacon bench. It's handy to keep stuff on. Do any dedicated studios here still have them, or have they gone by the wayside?

Plastic ware is individually wrapped as I've always found except at BLT.

in Oct we and friends each had a dedicated standard view studio and they each had the bench.

I had a bench in my boardwalk view lockoff this past weekend. I hadn't seen one in years!

We are in our one bedroom for the remainder of our visit.

You are right - the bench is convenient for packages!

We checked into BWV this afternoon. We are in a BW view one bedroom on 5th floor. I walked over to Illuminations tonight. I guess I didn't realize that you would be back at BWV or I would have seen if you wanted to head to Epcot with me. I was surprised that the beautiful Epcot Christmas tree in Showcase Plaza was still up tonight, so I got a tiny taste of Disney Christmas this year after all!
Have you heard any more about whether the Illuminations Cruise is still on?

Whoa, bobbiwoz...I'm envious ....29 days!! I have the entire month of January off..I work Fall and Spring semesters only (Spring doesn't start at my university until 1/30) and DH has been trying to convince me to go for a few days alone before I go back to work...unfortunately, he HAS work this month and couldn't join me. I've been reluctant to see if anything is available because our weather here in PA really hasn't been that disagreeable....yet......and I'm hoping it stays that way!! But, I still have almost three weeks.....so if the snow starts flying here......I just might see what's available and hop on a flight to Orlando!!!

We have heard nothing from the person that arranged it. We kept the evening free and plan to just walk over and see what is going on. Either they are there and we go on the cruise, or it has been canceled and we weren't told.

Hi! Yes, it's Friday. We meet at the yacht club marina.my guess for time would be 1 1/2 hour before Illuminations. The boat captain usually rides over to the DHS dock. I hope we get to go!

Next year we will be on semesters, and I would only be able to work in the fall semester, drat. This year, I should have a spring quarter schedule. I sure hope I do, or this is a very expensive get away!
You are right that "home" really isn't experiencing the bad winter weather that I hate, but I'm enjoying this time, some solo, but meeting up with friends, and some with guests at the resorts!

We stayed at BWV last year and you can definitely see the fireworks part of illuminations from the bridge and hear it all. It will get crowded! We were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the village green and with one of those gigantic balconies, so if we werent in a park, we watched from there.

Now, another question. Yesterday I noticed there wasn't a pack n play in the room and I called housekeeping and told them that I didn't need one, but there wasn't one in the studio and there should be. Should I call again, or just consider it reported?

Since you don't need one for your stay, I'd consider it reported. If it is not there by the time you leave, I'd probably mention it again at that time.

So glad to hear that you are enjoying your trip. I just checked my phone and it looks like its chilly at Disney today but warming up nicely by early next week. Bundle up, enjoy your stay, and can't wait to read more.
