Water park was one of my least favorite themes last year and now they're repeating it? Bah!

Didn't Water Park follow Pirate month last year?

Does anyone have a clue why these are not tradeable? We are able to trade other items we received in ride-a-thons?

No real reason was ever given from VMK, of course. But many speculated that it had to do with the up/down pieces being a "outside game" code prize at a time when all such prizes (Pink Doors, Narnia Porters, etc. and even Sparrow Costume for a time) were made non-tradeble because workable versions of these codes were being rapidly generated by non-Disney sanctioned sources.

Yup, one word: eBay

In an effort to shut down the eBay market, VMK went ballistic one day and made just about everything that was easy to get untradeable. This included the up and down water slide pieces, the Sparrow prizes (yes, even the outfit was untradeable for a few days), etc. Then people started selling the codes. It is difficult to shut down supply and demand. People will only find a way.

It wasn't until eBay decided to cease selling any and all virtual items for any and all online games (VMK, Neopets, World of Warcraft) that they were able to plug that hole. Well, kind of plug that hole. Most of the formerly major eBay sellers have begun their own sites and actively market those of us who used to frequent the eBay marketplace. I could buy a Sparrow suit all day long for about $70 right now, if I chose to. I probably could track down 10 or so of them from the old eBay sellers. Green explorer, you name it. Note to VMK: I said I COULD not that I do!

Yes I got many up and down slide pieces from the rides. I got a few from one of the games but I cannot play the other one long enough to win any. The game takes too much time and you have to achieve too high a level for just one piece!!.
